We have missed Thai Kok in Hillerød for many years, it was the only decent place. When I was in Valby today I had to have real Thai food again and it lived up to the high standards that I had been looking forward to.

There are many Thai restaurants in Copenhagen, but it is surprisingly difficult to find places where the taste is not adapted to Danish taste buds and where the focus is on the food rather than the decor (because let's be honest: it's the food that counts). Here they hit the spot. We ordered somtam and massaman curry, and both dishes tasted authentic and exactly like in Thailand. The flavors were deep, balanced and clearly made with respect for Thai cuisine. The portions were large and satisfying. The papaya salad could have been spicier, or have the option to choose the strength like you can with other dishes, which is a huge plus 😍🌶️ We chose the restaurant spontaneously because it first appeared on Wolt, but it certainly won't be the last time. Real, delicious and spicy Thai food, so nothing but 5 stars from here ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

13/06/2026: We went to a champagne tasting and it was a super nice experience. Good atmosphere. It was a good performance of the different champagnes. Funny enough, we missed some sales pitch, i.e. advertising for the purchase of snacks, the menu could possibly be on the tables. Advertising for the purchase of champagne at the end, possibly with a discount.
17/05/2026: Very fun place. A bar-like vibe but then with champagne!

Would order again. • Flavor vs fire: 🔥🔥🔥🔥 4/5 – Complex & spicy. • Menu Honesty Check: ✅ Honest Heat – Menu warning was accurate. ~ I don't usually write reviews about takeaway food because I don't think it gives a fair picture of restaurants. But now I've ordered from Jais Madhus more than ten times, and it's been just as delicious every time. Most recently I ordered their panang curry with tofu – very spicy – ​​and wait, how good was it. Perfectly balanced, rich and flavorful, and the spice was just right in the cupboard. The tofu was delicious and took the flavor really well. The quality is consistently high, the food tastes authentic, and you can clearly feel the love and care behind the dishes. Jais Madhus is without a doubt one of my go-to places in Copenhagen when I want really good Thai food. Highly recommended!
