Nice experience. We ordered their lunch platter and everything tasted good. The "homemade spiced herring" was not quite homemade, but tasted fine. The shrimp for the egg were hand-peeled and really delicious. The salmon and fish fillet were fine and although the fish was not pan-fried, it was not deep-fried. The chicken salad seemed homemade, so all in all, nice food and service.

We had an amazing smoke salmon in open sandwixh Cesar salad was delicious Good coffee and traditional danish apple cake whixh is not a cake.

Lunch at The Captain in beautiful sunny weather ☀️ Fortunately, we had booked a table outside, because it was completely packed — but with the perfect weather, it wasn't that strange. The location is absolutely perfect; the restaurant is located perfectly by the marina, so you can enjoy life on the water and watch the boats while you eat. It really adds to the experience. We ordered a Captain Burger with fries and chili mayo and a steak sandwich with the same side dishes, and a glass of cold white wine. The food tasted good overall, but there were also some things that let it down — especially when the prices are on the high end. It was a bit disappointing that you weren't automatically offered water with the wine. I experience this pretty much everywhere when you order wine. The steak sandwich was unfortunately the biggest disappointment. The meat consisted of small pieces rather than what you usually associate with a good steak sandwich — that is, a proper steak cooked medium and cut into slices. Everything here was overcooked and quite dry, which made the experience a bit sad, especially when you consider the price. 95 kr. for a glass of wine without being offered water also drags down. The service was also not at its best. No one asked at any time if the food tasted good, or if we were missing anything. The place generally seemed characterized by very young waiters without much experience. All in all, a pleasant lunch with a fantastic location and good atmosphere, but the food and service unfortunately did not quite live up to the price level.
