We had such an amazing experience here! Jamain was attentive, kind, and so welcoming. The food was excellent, especially the soup, the jerk chicken, and the coconut sorbet.
Would absolutely come again & recommend.

The Caribbean Housewife is the definition of a hidden gem where both the food and the service is absolutely unique and unforgettable, especially for Copenhagen.
We had the vegan menu consisting of a jackfruit stew, Caribbean rice with beans, and side dishes, all of which were packed with flavor. The juicy and slightly spicy stew were complemented by the softness of the rice and crispiness of the pickled slaw. We also had an amazing cocktail Dark and Stormy and pastel de nata and coconut ice cream as a dessert.
We have only positive things to say about the food and the lovely host Jamain, who served it to us with a lot of kindness and made us feel like we’re home. The entire place had very much a laid back atmosphere.
We are super happy to discover this restaurant and can’t wait to come back. Thank you Jamain!

Fantastisk spisested. A pleasant surprise in Copenhagen! The vibe, the food and the one and only, Jamain. Can’t wait to go back. She’ll make you feel home. We had jerk chicken and it truly was something else. 😍 for more places like this here. Kan kun anbefale TCH til jer alle.

A perfect example of "don't judge a book by its cover". Trust yourself when you're roaming through the back alley in search of the entrance to this place because what will greet you is a beautiful communal dining experience where you can tell that so much love has gone into everything. That jerk chicken was something else! So much flavor.

A fantastic find! Highly recommend to try some of the best Caribbean flavors and some perfectly cooked food. The atmosphere was fun and inviting, and you could feel the effort put into making you feel special while dinning. I would absolutely go back and recommend for an evening out.
Recommended you make reservations, but we were lucky and were able to get in and nab the last table.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience at The Caribbean Housewife. We chose the 8-course menu and were truly spoiled from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavor and love – especially their "Coq au Rhum" and the modern version of "Île Flottante" made a big impression.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff led by Jamain were both sweet and attentive. You could feel the passion for the food and the culture. We left happy, full and wanting to come again.
Highly recommended - especially if you want to try something different and delicious!

I would give 3,5 stars if possible, but 4 is too much. The highlight are the very tasty chicken dishes. Also the side dishes were delicious, but too small compared to the chicken. I expected a more cosy and warm atmosphere... I believe that went all wrong the evening we were there and it impacted very much the whole experience.

Great food! Takes me back to the food at the Eetcafé I grew up in. Homemade spekkoek, tasty and gigantic cocktail, soul food and good atmosphere! Great host! Just what we needed. Only with booking! Or via Earlybird.

This place has a very special atmosphere and is a place like no other in Copenhagen. There is lovely home-cooked food and good natural wine in original combinations, low prices - and the city's best hostess.

Spectacular. We booked it through early bird and, even though the entrance js a bit hard to find, it was completely worth it: the best chicken I have eaten, I specifically recommend the jerk chicken. And 10/10 for service. Just so you know, you can’t simply walk in, you need to book it, even if it’s the same day.
