The Indian Shehnai København

The food tasted great, but unfortunately we didn't get everything we ordered. When we called and asked if they could either give us a refund or bring us what we were missing, we were told by the café that it was not possible to get a refund, but that they would bring us what we were missing... unfortunately they never came, which was a huge shame for the experience, since the food was otherwise good.

The food was more than enough, however, the buttered croutons and rice were very buttery – which is why we felt full very quickly. Our sauces were forgotten when we ordered them, but we received them later free of charge. The restaurant's interior isn't appealing, and it's best not to look at the kitchen floor. The owner fell asleep at our table several times while we were there, which we felt sorry for. However, we wouldn't eat there again or order takeout.

If you want the best that Indian cuisine has to offer and don't want to compromise, then the family restaurant "Shehnai" is the place. The father (Chef) is simply a first-class chef and a wonderfully chatty guy, the son is helpful, charming and service-minded to the extreme, and if you are lucky enough to have grandma present, it just spices up the atmosphere even more. My clear favorite is the Lamb Curry, and if you order a large portion, it just tastes better the next day. धन्यावन बोस 💗

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the Best Indian Food Experiences in Copenhagen! The Indian Shehnai truly cooks with heart and love. Every dish tastes homemade, full of flavor, and prepared with real passion. A big thank you to the chef for creating such delicious plates you can feel the soul of Indian cuisine in every bite. This is honestly one of my best Indian food experiences here in Copenhagen. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, flavorful Indian food.
