The Market Italian København

Ate with my daughter at the Italian Market on Saturday night, 2/11. The food was delicious. We had buratta and tomato for starters and pasta dishes for mains. A glass of orange juice. And a cocktail. We had only just sat down before the young waiter said “I’ll start by finding you some water”. I’ve never liked “pushy” service. We definitely ordered the food before the other drinks. I ask for the bill and get it quickly. The waiter brings another carafe of water when she brings the bill. I point out that I haven’t asked for more water and she tells me that there is always ad libitum on water and that’s why she always gives guests the option of extra. I thank her for the service and we each drink an extra glass and get paid. I only see on the bill afterwards that it says 70kr for water (2xwater at 35kr). We have left the restaurant at that time, but it ruins my whole experience despite the food and the atmosphere being otherwise ok. Unfortunately, such an experience is enough for me to choose another place next time.

Excellent food, cooked just right, not too much or too little. Friendly service. Somewhat noisy when fully booked.

Italian at its best 🥰 We chose to celebrate a birthday at this wonderful Italian restaurant that we have visited before. This restaurant has several offers you can buy al carte or a menu of 9 or 11 dishes sharing menu. All at reasonable prices, which goes well with the choice - the market also has a large wine list with wine in several price ranges - the restaurant is cozy with a perfect romantic atmosphere with dim lighting which helps to create a lovely atmosphere We chose their 9 course sharing menu 👌🥳 We chose a lovely white wine Sauvignon Blanc for starters and a fantastic Brunello red wine 🌟🌟🌟🌟 At this restaurant there are many options 9 or 11 small dishes, family-style for the whole table, DKK 475/575 per person 24 MDR. AIR-DRIED HAM from “Ruliano” in Parma ARANCINI with summer truffle, organic mozzarella, parmesan and truffle mayo ORGANIC BURRATA with carrots champagne vinaigrette, basil and basil oil ROASTED PULPO with chickpeas, green celery, green apple, tomato, taggiasca olives, paprika-tomato oil and lemon TUNTATAR with lemon mayonnaise, black garlic aioli, mint, chives, pane carasau and watercress VITELLO TONNATO with heart lettuce, capers and sweet and sour peppers BEEF TATAR with truffle mayo, parmesan and crispy potato MAFALDINE with amatriciana sauce, guanciale, chili, cherry tomato, parsley, parmesan and onion GRILLED LAMB CROWN with rosemary breadcrumbs, lamb's lettuce and broccolini or TAGLIATA DI MANZO, rib-eye grilled medium-rare with balsamic, mushrooms, arugula, parmesan and freshly grated truffle +150,- per Person 1 Once we got the menu we chose to buy Rib-eye, but it was sent back, there was too much fat & tendons and raw inside POTATOES with parmesan aioli, chili and rosemary INSALATA MISTA with grapefruit, figs, lollo rosso, romaine, pomegranate and walnuts 3 KINDS OF CHEESE served with compote and crostini

Very good food in a cozy environment. The restaurant was nicely laid out and you had a nice view into the kitchen. A bit loud but the food tasted great and the wine was good!
