I'm a little torn about the experience at The Samuel, where we got today's menu. The food was good, tasted good, the wine fantastic. But perhaps we can expect new taste experiences, unique techniques and beautiful dishes at restaurants in this league. It is therefore a bit strange to be served lobster bisque with a puff pastry lid. You just sat there with the feeling that you have done it yourself just as well. Before that we had ceviche which was delicious and the main course with quail which was also tasty. The dessert was a beautiful arrangement of many elements, all made of chocolate. We end up with 4 stars - we missed being blown away to get up to 5

A beautifully refurbished venue, decorated with several quite distinctive paintings from a local artist. There are several small but spacious dining rooms on the first floor, and a fully open kitchen with seating on the first floor.
The menu is almost completely based upon the sea, although there are a small number of vegetarian choices. The servers proved excellent, although a couple of dishes were presented by the toque-wearing chefs.
My prix-fixe menu included the delicious chef's signature dish, steamed quenelles of Danish langoustines.
I will have to return on my next visit to København.

For our anniversary we decided to visit The Samuel for an evening dinner. Overall, it was one of the best food and service experience we had so far. The people were welcoming us in the best way and taking good care of us. The food and its presentation were outstanding and even more delicious. The restaurant itself has heartwarming atmosphere and interior. After the staff found out that we were visiting from Germany, they talked to us in their best German, it was such a pleasure and added a good personal touch to the experience. Thanks to the whole The Samuel-team for creating such an unforgettable dining experience for us!

Fantastic reception right at the door. The lady who welcomed us at the door and showed us around the ground floor and the wine cellar was super cozy. She inspired us so much that we changed to running the wine package which we hadn't done otherwise. 5 stars for her😍. The tasting menu started out a bit sparse. At right 4 onwards, the skill of the kitchen was noticed as all the elements were put on each plate. The mushroom consomme is brilliant, confit olives and tomatoes go perfectly with the fish with the lovely sticky red wine sauce with squid ink. If you are a Dom Perignon lover, visit them for one of Europe's largest collections dating back to 1960. Thank you for a nice dinner.

Perfectly executed French cuisine! Very attentive staff who provides excellent service. Great change of pace from the many Nordic fine dining restaurants in Copenhagen. The Samuel also has the largest collection of Dom Perignon north of France.

Very affordable meal considering the ingredients and one star status. We had inquired beforehand the possibilities of bringing along a vegetarian diner, to which we were told was no problem.
However at the restaurant, we were told that they only had the meals on the menu, of which none were vegetarian, despite us informing them beforehand as written above. The staff were fast to accommodate this. Smaller detail, but perhaps something to work on in the future.

I would like to start by recommending this splendid, beautiful and atmospheric place - where food, wine and service go together in a higher unity. You get the most delicious pampering and taste experiences, so that you completely forget time and place at The Samuel.
We were 3 good friends who had been looking forward to trying The Samuel. We had got a table on a Saturday at 18 and we only finished at 01:30. From arrival to departure at The Samuel, we felt welcomed and valued as a guest. You will be greeted with a very high level of service and nicely guided through the many exquisite dishes and wines. Chef Jonathan and Head Host Rasmus really manage to raise the bar in gastronomy and hosting and their love for food and wines shines through so much in everything they do. It is so well deserved with their first Michelin star and all the praise they get from left and right. We will definitely stop by and visit The Samuel again.
I thank everyone at The Samuel for one of the most wonderful evenings and not least for exquisite food, wines and hospitality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🤍✨🙌🏼
