The Samuel is back in amazing shape - the total overhaul of their house is nothing but wow. The people & food as sharp as ever. Jonathan & Rasmus and their team have a clear mission to please you and they are on a quest to make the former farmacy in Hellerup a new top gourmet destination and they are well on their way.

For short readers: Not an uptight Michelin restaurant! Great food with great service in an equally great ambience. Long version: As soon as I stood at the pedestrian crossing opposite the restaurant, they were ready to welcome me at the door. The jacket was taken from me and the boss himself gave me a short tour in German through the restaurant and the great wine cellar. Everyone in the team greeted me in a friendly and cheerful manner. The evening could start. There were several dishes on the menu from which you could put together your menu. It started outstandingly with the amuse, continued with the pasta course and ended with the desserts, of which I simply had to eat two because I couldn't decide and definitely didn't regret it. Unfortunately, the main course with the guinea fowl galantine, which should be filled with foie gras, was a little out of the ordinary but still very good. I was too stupid to get that flavor on my palate. The cheese with truffles and olive oil. So much work mixing truffles with cognac and then working into the cheese and then slicing it very thinly. But the good tasting olive oil didn't allow any other taste. It might have been better to serve the oil separately. Then the guest can destroy the cheese themselves. Continue with positive... The service was not only extremely amusing to watch from my seat, no, it was also extremely competent! A really well-matched wine accompaniment rounded off the meal. It should also be mentioned that the chef explained the course in his best German, which I found very attentive and pleasant. Price/performance very fair.
