The Shrimp København

Had one of our most memorable dinners in Copenhagen here. Foods out of this world, service is top notch and atmosphere is just perfect. One of the best restaurants in Denmark!

Firstly it’s worth saying that the good here is very good. Not exceptional but good enough. The wine is staggeringly overpriced but it is Copenhagen. Secondly the waitress was superb. Very attentive charming helpful and friendly. However there was an almost 45 gap between starter and main course. Then very annoyingly in retrospect the card machines declined four different payment cards so I had to find an ATM to get cash to pay ( using one of the same cards!). There was no reason at our end why they should have been declined in the first place. The currency conversion charge at the ATM was very steep but I had no choice and consequently the meal probably cost us more than 200DKK extra.

Visited the restaurant as part of dining week. First 3 courses fine with good cod, beder and tartar. Service was impeccable. then came two dishes that seemed as if they were composed by another chef. AN indifferent dish with chicken and a dessert with passion ice where the flavors didn't go together at all that we had to leave on the plate.

The stars seem to tell everything about our experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A beautiful gem in the King's Copenhagen - close to Amalienborg is this beautiful restaurant The Shrimp at hotel Skt. Annæ, which is located in carefully restored buildings from old Copenhagen. 6 well-matched dishes - great praise for the kitchen - delicate and delicious and beautifully arranged. 3 wonderful waiters made sure that everything was served with the greatest love - for us guests and for the kitchen's beautiful dishes ❤️ Great respect - thank you 🙏 I have to praise our sweet sommelier - who convincingly guided us to 3 good wine experiences that we would not have chosen ourselves. Thank you 🇳🇴 The Shrimp gets our warmest recommendation. Relaxed good service - just to our taste.

A pleasure from start to finish. Had 5 courses in dining week and the family couldn't agree on which was the best. Very delicious all the way, tartar and ravioli in a special class! Thank you for a wonderful dinner👍

Great food, ate their dinning week menu

Went quite early on a Thursday and thus could witness the venue bloom to life. The way in is a little bit hidden as you need to pass through Hotel Sct Anna's lobby, but once you find your way into your the courtyard style open seating area, you'll fall in love with the plants and recessed lighting. Perfect for a calm and cozy dinner night. The staff was attentive, friendly and kind throughout the night, with comforting merry and jolly good humored charisma to get you settled and discrete service accompanying the courses. The three course menu was on point and very tasteful, the portions adequate without the inherent tinyness of wannabe-cuisine. The tenderloin was to par, the vegetables fresh and with the desired crunch of short cooking times. Aromatics of all ingredients were finely tuned. Full points here. My highlight: the rosemary in the apple compotte dessert. The wine selection (I chose a Saar Riesling as it was indeed the most rounded) was a little on the dry side, a Kabinett (or at least half dry) would have been a better companion for the dishes. The final balance was slightly on the expensive side, yet absolutely fine for Copenhagen and the quality you get. Summary: Absolute recommendation for an evening dinner with your partner or a group of friends. Bring time and a big appetite, though - The Shrimp is well worth it. 5 /5*

Copenhagen Dining Week 2023. Our choice fell on The Shrimp. Curiosity - had never been there before. We had good friends from the USA with us, and food from both the vegetarian and traditional cuisine was served. Top class and, in particular, because the kitchen had to deliver many couverts from the same 5-course menu, the quality was surprisingly high. Good wine list at reasonable prices and with good variety. Operating a permanent servant and a team who quietly work more efficiently than we have seen in a long time. The price was fixed on a mock-up as an offer. But everything worked in a good mood. Thanks.

Vi skulle prøve et nyt sted og faldt over dette. Det er ikke super let at finde restauranten. Den ligger lidt gemt, bag reception og bar. Her er ganske hyggeligt, men lidt dårlig akustik... Servicen er fin. Men jeg undre mig over at man i...
