I was excpecting a highlight of beer culture in Aalborg. What I got was degenerated British pub culture run by non-Danish non-British people. I was not convinced by their knowledge on beer, either. Yes, they do serve real ale from one brewery (that I have never heard of be - maybe I should have). Based on how I and the following customers were treated, real ale is not even offered to new customers, despite them in specific asking for ale. The Wharf seems to be an important hub for the locals and it's worth to see, but just don't expect too much.
