Oh my this was a fun place to have dinner with 3 generations. Portions are very large so be aware. The server was very funny. Dry and honest and yet so funny in her mannerisms. Just a great atmosphere and good food.

Part of dining out is the experience with the ambiance, the waitstaff and of course the meal itself. I really hate to give a poor review and I don't know that I've given many less than a 4, but the consensus here is accurate. The service IS terrible with a seamingly barely contained contempt for tourists. My husband (who grew up in the former East Germany, now a proud American) was absolutely thrilled with the menu though. Half of it was some form or another of herring! He was in heaven. He had a beer, a Herring dish with brown bread, lard, a leaf or two of lettuce, tomato and some kind of olives (?). I had a glass of wine, their chicken salad with crispy bacon (tasty) with a few leaves of lettuce. Presentation was as if they couldn't care less and tossed on a plate (Family style). At the end, the waiter literally tossed the credit card reader on the table and walked away, without so much as a glance at us. We just looked at each other and laughed, what can you do? This restaurant is cozy, cool ambiance, and has SUCH potential. I'm sure they've had their share of rude tourists, but don't be so narrow minded and frankly ignorant to treat guests like inferiors is such poor form.

A company was celebrating a birthday, so it was not possible to be there as an ordinary guest. They were not silenced. So we had to leave the place.

Amazing typical Danish food, somewhat expensive price. The nasty waitress

This is the oldest restaurant in Copenhagen supposedly. Olde world rundown atmosphere but great. We enjoyed the food. Most of it is seafood but we had the other options. We were just walking by and came across it.

SO authentic, wonderfully old fashioned, cosy. Excellent service, really good food (as our mother hoped she would) and wonderful, central location. We'll be back there a lot 😋😋😋

Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service but the food is very typical Danish. As a Spaniard I am not used to this type of food (Smørrebrød). They give free water if you ask for something to drink ;)

Toldbod Bodega is a unique culinary experience found in the heart of Copenhagen. We tried some Danish sandwiches here and were surprised by the presentation and the perfect blend between the ingredients. The place itself is a cosy, chic, vintage house with moody lighting and nice music. Don't skip this one if you want a taste of Danish cusine.

Miljön är utomordentlig och vi blev vänligt bemötta med god service. Det fanns mycket attväla på men vi satsade på en typiskt "dansk platte" som innehåller det mest.Vi blev lite besvikna på den friterade rödspättan och vi saknade lun leverpastej även om den fanns som tillägg.Snapsarna var som vanligt jättegoda och vi hade en bra måltid.
