To date the best steak sandwich I've had, definitely worth a visit

Good steak sandwich, it delivers what it promises.

My good friend René has previously been to VB in Aalborg to try their steak sandwich and was very excited. That's why VB was also on my Stjerneskuds list of places to visit. And I might as well say it right away. It was a fantastic shooting star. The wife and I arrived at 18:45 and shortly after ordered 2 shooting stars. They were served about 15 minutes later. First impressions were very positive, as everything looks delicious. The wife was served dressing in separate bowls at her request. If we start at the bottom, you will find a butter-fried brioche bun. First time we have encountered it. It is a bit on the sweet side. I would probably prefer homemade sourdough bread, but it's great that VB is trying to put their mark on the dish. The 2 butter-fried plaice fillets were really delicious. The white steamed one was ok without making much of a fuss. There were lots of delicious hand-peeled shrimp. They tasted fantastic. The smoked salmon was juicy and did well. The dressing, or should I say dressings, tasted exceptionally good. My serving was the dressings mixed with the other ingredients and my wife's was served separately. She got plenty of dressing/mayo, so I could sit and eat it directly on the fork. Homemade and very nice taste. There was only a little green in the form of cress and fresh dill. It went well with the dish. The last decoration was the little orange pearls, which were trout roe. Lovely decoration that tastes good and goes well with the dish. The only thing I missed was a couple of green asparagus. Fair enough, since they weren't on the menu. All in all, a top-class shooting star, which gets a rating of 4.7/5. Best rating I've given in 2025.

Such delicious food. Both steak sandwiches and Fish and Chips. Both are definitely recommended.... Yummy. And good service from the staff.

Bådehavnsvej 4, 9000 Aalborg, Denmark Wow, this parking spot is about 30 minutes from the city center. But I've never seen such clean restrooms at a public parking lot like this!!! Really great! And paying for electricity, etc., was super easy, too. If you want a delicious breakfast, just head down the street to Grøn Bakery & Café. Truly delicious

In the 90s, a bøfsandwich (steak sandwich) was a Danish national dish that you could get at every grill bar. The sandwich you get at VB is a further development of this wonderful dish bathed in brown sauce. If you want to try something very Danish, this is the right place to order a bøfsandwich. It is almost always in the final sprint when Denmark's best is to be chosen. Fantastic surroundings with a view of the marina and friendly service make this place a cozy gem.

The bofsandwich was out of this world, realy good. Quiet hefty prices though but well worth it, in my opinion.

Super delicious steak sandwich filled with all the goodies it deserves. Warm recommendations from here. Our first but not last visit.

Cozy place, now they also have delicious Kastberg ice cream outdoors.
