09/06/2025: A gem on the waterfront. When you step into Ombord at Vestre Bådehavn, you are struck by a maritime and relaxed atmosphere with a view directly to the Limfjord. The decor combines an elegant bistro atmosphere with café coziness and when the sun shines, it is even better on their covered terrace. Honest food with quality. The menu, both lunch and dinner, is composed with a focus on fresh, local ingredients and homemade dishes. The classics get a twist, and it is clearly noticeable that the chefs have an eye for finesse, whether it is moules frites, carpaccio, fish 'n' chips or a juicy steak bearnaise The lunch menu can satisfy both light hunger (e.g. salads or shrimp roll) and larger appetites (burgers and soup). Top-class service The staff is friendly, present and knowledgeable and a visit from the chef to ensure that the experience is in order is not unusual. Good value for money as the price level is reasonable. Starters between 100–130kr., main courses from approx. 180–360kr., and brunch/serving offers make Ombord an attractive whole. Gourmet menus such as 3-course meals for approx. 275–350kr., especially with Early-bird offers, give it extra value. In addition to regular lunch and dinner services, Ombord has special events: Sunday food, Mortensaften with roast duck, bisque & bearnaise offers, and food out of the house and company offers. This shows commitment to offering variety and experiences all year round. Whether it's for a relaxed lunch, a special occasion or a cozy evening by the water, Ombord is definitely worth a visit. A warm recommendation from here. The only small minus is that their tables are not completely stable, but I think the council will fix that soon.
