Cheap food is about all it's worth. Atmosphere is drab, smelly, and unfriendly with leers from all the patrons as soon as you walk in. Communist propaganda litters the entire community. Shame.

Nice place to have a beer or a soda, however it has lost a bit of its charm compared to when Pusher Street was there. But otherwise I experienced a lot in there and several of them very talkative :)

18/05/2025: Ølbaren was my favorite stop on my entire Denmark trip. They have a great selection of beer, but more importantly, a warm, welcoming staff. Thank you so much Saint Nick for the hospitality!

Ølbaren boasts a delightful, dimly lit atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good brew. The handwritten beer list, which changes regularly, is a nice touch, though they also have some reliable staples. I loved the friendly vibe here; it felt like a true local's spot, and the patrons were welcoming. If you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere, great beer, and a bit of Copenhagen craft beer history, Ølbaren is a must-visit.
