29/11/2024: If you're looking for a place that truly captures the essence of Copenhagen's charm and authenticity, Oxen Bodega is a great choice. When I was there recently, I was completely enchanted by the unique atmosphere, the genuine hospitality and the food that combines tradition and quality in a very special way. Atmosphere Oxen Bodega is a lovely mix of classic Danish hygge and a light-hearted pub feel. The rustic interior, the warm lights and the small details – such as old posters and wooden floors that creak a little charmingly – make you feel both relaxed and welcome. The atmosphere is family, and whether you come for a quick beer or a long dinner with friends, you feel like you immediately become part of the community. The food The menu is a tribute to classic Danish pub food. I tried their Roast Pork with Parsley Sauce, which was perfectly cooked with crispy pork and a smooth, flavorful parsley sauce. The portions are generous - you definitely won't leave hungry. A friend ordered their buttered bread, which was as beautifully presented as it was delicious. Combine this with a glass of cold Tuborg or a schnapps, and you have a perfect Danish experience. The service The staff at Oxen Bodega deserve a special mention. They were attentive without being intrusive, and they had a warm and friendly manner that made the whole experience even better. Our waitress took the time to explain the menu and recommended some great local dishes, which was really appreciated. Value for money For the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere, the prices are very reasonable. It feels like a place where both locals and tourists can enjoy themselves, without it being too "touristy" or excessively expensive. ⭐ Rating: 5/5 Highly recommended for both food lovers and those who want to experience Danish culture for real!
