Youmi Sushi Gladsaxe

I visited your restaurant yesterday with a couple of friends, and unfortunately it was a bit of a mixed experience. We hadn’t booked a table, so we stood outside the door waiting to be greeted. It was around 5:45 p.m., and many tables were already full, while several were queuing to pick up their takeaways. There were almost more people in the kitchen than there was room for, and everyone was struggling to keep up with the orders. At the bar were three very young girls who were both delivering food and preparing drinks. As I said, we stood outside the door, as it wasn’t a given that there would be room for us. In the end, I had to go up to the bar and ask if there was a table available. “Haven’t you booked a table?” the young girl asked back with a puzzled look – as if it were very unusual to come by without a reservation. She asked a colleague in the kitchen, who clearly had the overview, and he could immediately tell us where we could sit. We ordered drinks via the tablet, and when the same young girl came down with them, we told her that we wanted to order from your menu. “H-you didn’t use the tablet?” she asked, confused. We explained again that we wanted to order from the menu, which couldn’t be done via the tablet system. “Then you’ll have to order from the kitchen,” she said, after which she left again. We kept an eye on the situation for a while, and after some time she did come down with a pen and paper to take our order. But honestly, it seemed like it was something she had never tried before. The whole situation seemed very unfamiliar to the staff. It almost felt like we were a very special case because we came unannounced and wanted to eat from the menu rather than choosing ad libitum. The food was good, and there was definitely nothing to blame there. But the service from the young girls, who are the staff that you as a guest expect to be on the front line in the restaurant, was unfortunately a bit slow. I hope it was just an unlucky night, because the food was definitely not bad. But there is room for a lot of improvement when it comes to welcoming and serving guests.

Delicious all you can eat food arrived within 5 minutes

The sushi was good and it is served by a cool robot that drives around. You order the food using a tablet. This makes it very easy and clear to order what you want. I can definitely recommend ordering water instead of soda, as water only costs 18kr for a huge glass, where soda, on the other hand, costs 45kr for a large one (35kr for a small one).

Youmi Sushi is one of the better sushi restaurants in Bagsværd. They offer a wide selection of sushi as well as grilled sticks, giving you plenty of options to choose from. The sushi was truly excellent. I especially enjoyed the grilled lamb ribs and the grilled salmon—both were delicious and perfectly prepared. One thing I found disappointing was that the all-you-can-eat menu charges extra for sauces. While it isn't a major issue, it feels a bit unnecessary given the concept. The biggest downside, however, was the service speed. Even though there were only one or two other tables occupied, we had to wait quite a long time for our orders to arrive. Despite that, the quality of the food was impressive, and I would definitely like to come back if I have the opportunity.

Literally the best sushi spot that me and my besties always go. They got bunch of startups and actually variety of sushi.

I’ve eaten a lot of sushi in and outside of Cph over the years, and Youmi Sushi is among the best places I’ve been in terms of taste, quality, variety and overall experience. Fresh fish and vegetables, the sticks are juicy and not dry, and everything is beautifully presented on the dishes. Besides a great selection of sushi, there are a lot of different sides and sticks to choose from e.g. gyoza, kimchi, fried Vietnamese spring rolls etc. If you’re looking for an ad libitum sushi restaurant, I really suggest you try this place - you will not be disappointed☺️

The food was very nice. I ordered takeaway and it was easy to pick up the food and it was ready on time. The only thing that was bad (and the reason for the 4 stars) was that even though there was a barrier between the sushi and the wasabi, the 4 pieces of sushi closest to it had a lot of the strong taste and it ruined the taste a bit for me who doesn't like the strong taste.

Really good food and service. The place is absolutely fantastic and very cozy, couldn't recommend it more if you're into sushi👌
