01/11/2025: I ordered some food for delivery. The food came and was totally cold. In one the dishes the chicken was raw. I call the restaurant to bring me a new one and pickup the one thats not edible, but they didnt. They dont have the time, he told me. After a long argumentation on the phone with the guy, he said he will contact wolt to get my money back for the dish. I didnt recive any money, and I called the guy again. He said that he told wolt to give me half of the money for that dish. I get into argument, that i should get the full payment for the dish, but he keeps saying that 120 orders didnt have anything wrong with their order, so he didnt believe me. I told him, that not a decent behavier towards a customer, and I am going to give ham a bad rating. He hangs up the one, White saying he doesnt have time for this bullshit.

13/08/2025: Ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma, and Garlic "Naan" once.
There is nothing Indian about their food - Was chicken in cream sauce with basic rice. This despite no description of cream in Butter Chicken.
Their "Naan" is a puffed pita bread with garlic poured into the middle, never had such bad food, and especially bad and tasteless food that was supposed to be Indian and "Spicy".
Would not recommend this place to anyone!
I am very angry that I did not read reviews on google first, on wolt they had 8+ -

09/01/2026: I had ordered 2x Too Good To Go from here, with the pick-up time stated as 19:00–19:15. I arrived at 19:14, but was still told that I was not allowed to enter because the time had supposedly been exceeded. At the same time, I was informed that there was no more food left – despite the fact that I could clearly see the food from where I was standing.
I find it completely unreasonable that they refuse to deliver when I arrive within the specified time frame, and when the food is clearly still there. Even more unsatisfactory is that I was neither delivered the food nor offered a refund, even though I had paid for two portions.
If it had been possible, I would have given 0 stars, but since this is not an option, it has to be 1 star.
09/12/2025: Not everyone speaks nicely. But the food is nice enough.....

05/12/2025: Shanti used to be our favorite. They had the best butterchicken here in Roskilde without a doubt. It was absolutely perfect, but I wonder what happened, because the last two times we ordered, it's so far from what we used to enjoy, but what you get now when you buy it, it's simply not the same - and not butterchicken. It's sad, but this is officially the last time we'll order from there.
21/11/2025: Edited after new owner:
They use a completely different rice than before, still charge an exorbitant amount of money for what is basically mediocre, and their chicken is not as good. The replaced rice actually ruins the whole dish, this place no longer makes good food, avoid it.

08/04/2025: They have rebranded to Smagløs Kødbten featuring fusion Indian-Italian cuisine. We enjoyed the pasta with Indian flavours, including the Bollyfood butter chicken. Waitstaff could still use some training, but service was quick.
(Update: one of us had food poisoning from the tandoori chicken burger. Taking off a few ⭐️)
03/02/2025: Ordered butter chicken via Wolt today - there they call themselves "Smagløs! Kødbyen" now. And the name is telling. It is in fact without taste. The butter chicken from Bollywood used to be amazing, with a sauce that's hard to get to the same taste and consistency - but whatever I received today was FAR from that. Honestly, I had butter chicken from Netto that tasted the same. And the smell is really off: too much cumin. Båh, won't order there ever again

24/02/2024: Vi havde bestilt bord og fik bekræftet det på e-mail med booking nr 1321.
Da vi kommer til restauranten er der ingen plads. Og vi bliver afvist.
Det er bare ikke ok, når vi forventer vi har bestilt spisested og så blive afvist da de sagde den ikke var gået igennem.

11/06/2024: We are fans of their butter chicken and could eat it on a daily basis.
15/05/2024: Really delicious Indian food. We tasted chicken and lamb samosa for starters, which were really delicious and freshly prepared. For main course we had butter chicken with rice, yum it tasted really good.
Their naan bread is wonderful in many ways, soft and crispy at the same time and incredibly tasty.

06/07/2025: I reckon the restaurant went to Lidl for the pappadom as they were the worst I’ve ever had. Saag curry was like mud and the tikka masala lacked any flavour.

31/05/2025: L’accueil avec le sourire et un service correct. Par contre la bière IPAD était quelconque. Puis les menus n’était pas très très typé indien. Le plat indien royale avec de l’agneau était bon. Par contre le Saag avait un goût pas très agréable. Le naan ressemblait à une pita qu’à un naan, dommage. Au final, je dirais qu’il était acceptable mais sans une réelle authenticité comme on pourrait s’y attendre et la carafe d’eau à 25 Dkk, je trouve cela complètement déplacé, mais je ne suis pas danois alors peut-être est-ce la norme ?

23/06/2024: The food was great, and the cheff and waitress took care of my dietary restrictions. Very tasty korma, Naan and fish. Lassi was good. When you order still water they bring a whole big bottle.
There is a bathroom.
The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, there is just one step to go the bathroom.

10/09/2024: IF YOU'RE HUNGRY AND DONT WANT TO WAIT FOR AN HOUR, DONT COME HERE.
Im so sad we went here and gave money here. Me and my friends went here. No one was inside so we thought we can eat fast and it will be great because we've read great things on Google.
We ordered and payed for everything and then the cooker started to prepare food for Wolt and others. We waited for and hour. We asked him if we can get the money back because we want to go and that we understand that he had orders befor us (Wolt) but he should have told us that...
He just said "Im sorry".
Then he said we will get food in a 10mins. We waited another 20min.. Then he asked us what did we order.. After that we got food. One of my friends got rice that she didn't want and didn't pay for. He said its for free.. but she asked him if she can get the naan that she paid for.. She had to ask him three times.. He told her his head hurts. After that she got it..
I didn't like this at all, plus its so cold inside of the restaurant..
Some other people came after us and he gave them the food under 10mins.. I dont get it.. I wouldn't go here again + the food wasn't something special.
06/08/2024: Very nice fresh made curry and biryani , very nice service just before closing and loads of fresh water for our puppy! Thanks a lot for lovely dinner in the run!

17/12/2024: Vi har spist på Indian Curry Hause et par gange og desuden i årenes løb, efterhånden mange gange, bestilt take away herfra. Det er altid godt og velsmagende. Vi holder især meget af deres Chicken Curry og Lam Korma.
01/12/2024: Really really good place and very cozy. We came here just one night when we were going home and it was just so good. They treated us really well and we felt taken care of. Thank you very much and see you soon!

23/04/2025: Wolt, Takeaway. We got garlic nan (nothing special), samosa (was really spicy), mango lassi (very good) and the Butter chicken (really good). All in all, good food, it was still warm when we got it. We like a butter chicken that are not spicy and that is a little sweet, this was perfect for us.

30/05/2025: Nos sentamos de inmediato, el servicio fue rápido, y la comida estaba deliciosa. Tuvimos una gran comida visitando desde Chicago.
24/05/2025: Posiblemente el peor restaurante indio que he visitado en toda Europa.
Los poppadoms eran grasosos, delgados como el papel, y poco cocinados como si hubieran salido de un paquete. ¡Sin mencionar que te cobraron el equivalente de 6 libras por 2! Salieron chapuzones y el yogur de menta era como si hubiera salido directamente de una botella de kebab (rango).
Menú super limitado. No Bunha, no hay guarniciones vegetales, y aunque las samosas en el menú no tenían ninguna a pesar de que el restaurante era tranquilo y comimos temprano.
La red era aceptable, pero nada que emocionarse.
También debe mencionar que incluso cobran por el agua del grifo aquí, absolutamente loco.
El servicio era escandalosamente pobre, el personal de camareros era bastante francamente inútil. Supongo que al menos sonreían mucho.
En general, la experiencia gastronómica más terrible y pagado más de £ 200 por 5 para comer con una bebida cada uno.
