05/03/2024: Good food, but a place that is tired

15/02/2024: 1 star is high, if I could I would give 0 stars. We had a table at 19. on 14.02, we arrive about 10 minutes before. We are shown our table but we don't see a waiter afterwards. We sit and order our food and drinks. It took approx. 20-30 min before we got our drinks. Then we got 3 warm gyozas and then our patience was put to the test. There were 2 waiters who were mostly not in the restaurant but more in the back room. There was 1 person cooking the food. The tables were not cleared from the guests who left the restuarant, so we wondered what they were so busy with because they were clearly not cooking. You could understand that it was busy in relation to Valentine's Day, BUT the restaurant was not half full and there were not many people who came to pick up take away. There were only a couple who picked up take away were sent away and came back 30 min later to collect their food. Some of the sushi was pre-made and was not in the fridge but in plastic boxes, in the kitchen, which she cut continuously while trying to get the orders out. When we had been waiting for about 60 minutes, we go up and ask when our food is ready, we are told that it is just being made. When they come down with the food, it is not at all what we had ordered and we decide to pay for the drinks and go over and order a pizza at a nearby pizzeria. There were others like us who chose to leave without getting their food and others who bravely waited for their food with much more patience than ours. If you want sushi in Vanløse, I would recommend one of the other good places like Yayami or Umi sushi. But one thing is certain, we will never come back to yaki yaki. 1 hint should probably have been that they sell sunglasses for DKK 20 (very cheap) at the entrance to the restaurant. Then you can always talk about interior design, acoustics, etc., but this is not so relevant in relation to the absurdly bad experience we had here.

06/03/2024: I really loved the sushi, it tasted delicious but the service isn’t good, bad organization and they forgot many of the things I ordered.

28/03/2024: Just ordered takeaway. Bought a large menu, and had high expectations due to a previous experience a few years ago where it tasted so good. I took the chance again; but I have to admit I'm quite disappointed. I don't know why they use low quality ebi shrimp in their sushi? They are exactly the same ones I see in the net for 29k. I have always loved the rice because it tastes of more vinegar than elsewhere, but the menu I bought for DKK 945 is not something I would do again. The chicken was dry and the prawns tasted of rubber. I eat a LOT of sushi and you can find better-tasting sushi for 100p at a much cheaper price.

20/03/2024: It's such a nice place. Great staff. Absolutely delicious food. We had tempura shrimp and maki menu, and it was fresh, simple, but nice plating. It was a great service. I enjoyed the food a lot.

26/02/2024: Eating in the restaurant is really delicious, but their take-away is incredibly disappointing. I collected the food at the agreed time and it looked / tasted as if it had been sitting for many hours. It wasn't very tasty! I emailed Takumi in Fredericia and told them about my experience, but I never heard back from them. There are other better places in Fredericia, so choose one of them.

16/03/2024: Best buffet we know of! The food is made in small quantities so it stays hot and fresh, which is really delicious. The staff are always SO nice and give a warm welcome.

18/03/2024: Written in 2020: 4 stars Overall it was quite good. Almost the same sushi as you know and dessert (selection and quality), but it was nicely decorated, it is a bit more picky about it. The decor was a little more different - a little more lounge and bar-like, and it was really nice 😊 a little more luxury about it than the other places. A bit of a shame that the sushi itself varied from time to time when you ordered it - so it is difficult to know exactly what you are ordering. Exciting cocktails. There is just a little bit left before it is a 5er, but it is clearly one of the places I will come again (eg some of the rollers fell apart). —- Been here quite a few times since and it's just gone downhill. Fewer options every time a pure grill bar goes into it. Boring sushi. Still nice rooms that set them apart, nice drinks, nice service. But when the food lags, you don't want to keep going. There was so much potential… ugh!

14/03/2024: Restauranten er hypet i Aarhus, men jeg blev en anelse skuffet… Service var ikke i top - skulle efter 20 min selv spørge, hvad konceptet var, og om vi måtte få noget at drikke. Maden var okay - sashimi var lækker, men sushi var godt nok middelmådig. Der er ikke kælet meget for det. Gode drinks! All you can eat? Skulle betale ekstra for hver gang, jeg ville have chilimayo, og der var ikke meget at vælge imellem.

11/01/2024: It says on Google that they are open, so we drive all the way from Skive to get sushi (it takes about 30-35 minutes). Then they have closed, it still says on the website that they close at 21 (the time is 18:27) now. I think that's just mind-boggling. It even says on their door that they are open, but no lights or customers, very strange

30/12/2023: I did not get what I ordered as they had chosen to "put their own stamp" on my order. It meant that we cannot eat more of the pieces and I therefore asked them to correct the mistake and said that I could wait. The waiter kept telling me it was my fault. And that I would therefore have to pay for the new pieces if they had to redo them. Abandoned the discussion that got nowhere and left. Will not come here again and do not recommend to anyone with allergies or diets. Check the food before you pay.

13/02/2024: The restaurant was a really cozy place with lots of good food. Can definitely be recommended. The food at the restaurant was incredibly good and exciting as there were many different kinds of dishes to choose from. I had a very good experience in the restaurant with good service and nice staff. The music and decoration also gave a good atmosphere.

29/03/2024: The food was in the middle of the tree. We had "the menu", which should be a key to the entire menu. There were huge portions in the first serving, and the miso soup was extremely salty. The pork belly was cold and dry (tasted ok+) and the cabbage + cucumber salad was perfectly fine, a lot of mayonnaise and little freshness, everything was very heavy. Serving 2 was some sashimi and sushi + tartare. The sashimi and tartare were extremely good and had good fresh flavors, while the sushi was some of the worst sushi I've ever had. Serving 3 was the saltiest chicken thigh I've had, but it was tender and tasted good, apart from being very very salty. The broccoli line was cold and "chefs rice" just steer clear. You will long for worse rice. Pleasant staff and inviting premises win me over here, but the food does not live up to the price. Would go here again for some light snacks and something good by the glass. 6.2/10.

25/02/2024: I've given this place many chances, but I'm consistently disappointed. This time, I decided to try it out during Dining Week and on Valentine's Day. Unfortunately, the experience fell short once again. The portions were ridiculously small, and many dishes lacked flavor. We had to ask the waitress for soy sauce to add some taste to the food. Additionally, I was seated behind a door that kept getting slammed, which was quite bothersome and prompted my date to suggest switching seats. I'm certain I won't be returning here.

29/03/2024: We were passing by Denmark and visited this restaurant randomly, on the Easter Day. The food was super good and the service is beyond excellent, the hostess was very considerate. And the place has cozy setup. All in all a great place!

22/03/2024: Well prepared food. Polite service. The price for takeaway is just over the top. Can recommend that you also try the Thai/wok dishes. Welcome 🙂

03/02/2024: The first thing that greeted us when we walked in the door was an unmistakable smell of cigarette smoke. It just puts a damper on the fun!! The food was nice and fresh, but the smell of smoke lingered throughout the visit. (Maybe come again when the weather allows eating outside).
