Sticks'n'Sushi Gentofte

Just got in to Demark and was so happy to find my new favorite Japanese restaurant! Loved the circular building, the trapazoid shaped tables and super comfy leather chairs! Staff was super fun and friendly! The menu is a work of genius with amazing images of the food and some comic relieve text! The food was so awesomely fabulous! The salads are plentiful and the sushi is fresh and delicious!!! I also loved the extra touches like the warm hand towel and the stone pedestal for the upscale chop sticks and the WC's square toilet and sink!! A must visit if you love Sushi as the menu is very different from the norm! P.S. The desserts and speciality drinks are to die for!!!

If you have allergies/sensitivities, you need to be very careful here. We specifically asked for no onions due to severe hypersensitivity, and the waiter wrote it down. The first two courses of our menu were still served stuffed with onions. We brought it to the attention of another waiter, who brought the food, and it took a long time before we got anything new. In general, the staff seemed incredibly busy, and it was difficult to get hold of them. There was a long wait for drinks and food. We didn't get napkins or soy sauce (at a sushi restaurant???), and it wasn't until an hour later that a waiter stood at our table long enough for us to say so. The waiters were nice enough, but there were simply too few of them, and that's poor planning on the hottest day of the year. I think you can expect significantly better service when you pay 800 kroner for your food. The food, on the other hand, was absolutely excellent! But as I said, be extremely careful if it's something you can't stand, because the staff isn't. It's really nice to sit in the courtyard.

As always, delicious food. Winter/autumn: Take-away lengths better than indoor serving. Bad unexciting room with drafts from the door. Summer: Conversely, the garden outside is super delicious in the sun both lunch and evening from May to September.
