20/02/2024: Izumi in Denmark totally blew us away – it's definitely a five-star gem!
The pork chop was a delightful surprise, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. And let's not forget the ad libitum sushi – endless rolls of pure deliciousness!
The staff were super friendly, making us feel right at home. The vibe was relaxed, perfect for a laid-back meal.
Overall, Izumi nailed it with their mouthwatering food and awesome service. If you're in Denmark and craving some top-notch sushi, Izumi is the spot to hit up – five stars without a doubt!
09/02/2024: Dissatisfied.
I had booked a table for 20:00 with 2 of my mates and ended up being asked to wait outside until the table was ready. Ended up waiting 45 minutes and had to push the waiters 2 times to come in and sit at our table.
When we are finally seated at the table, we have completed our order and end up waiting 25 minutes for the food.
This meant we had 20 minutes left to eat our food and manage to order a possible round 2 or 3 before the kitchen closed at 9:30pm - scandal.
The waiters were nice and apologized many times for their many mistakes, which we were happy about. I would probably also have refrained from writing this review if it wasn't for the many banana flies that flew around our table and on our food.
I have visited Izumi often in the last 5 years, but this is the first and last time I stop by Gammel Kongevej Izumi...

24/02/2024: Good authentic Chinese dishes. Atmosphere could be more relaxed. Service was fine, but you come for the food.

22/01/2024: Our daughter had wanted to try running sushi for her birthday. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection for the price. Really nice sushi and hot dishes like noodles, fried rice and delicious baked prawns, and something everyone liked.
Polite service who set up an extra heater as it was a bit chilly and if you needed something you could just ask.
The children thought it was really fun to have to "catch" the food when it came by.
We will definitely come again.

18/11/2023: If you could give 0 stars, they got it! Was there for 1 hour 15 minutes and they filled up hot dishes once, it is expected that they fill up continuously, but they don't think so themselves. We sat for 45 minutes where the same one rice dish went around and nothing new came. Their excuse was that it was early, we were there 17.30-18.45, and we could have said something and yes we could, but we don't think that in a buffet restaurant with this product you should ask to be refilled, that must come continuously. They were not at all comprehensible about it and thought it was perfectly fine that there had been nothing for 45 minutes. There wasn't much service! Can only recommend staying away from there!

16/01/2024: Always nice to eat a healthy alternative to "fast food". Definitely a healthier choice, plus it actually tastes good. The price can always be discussed, as it is on the high end, but do junk food too, so rather choose the healthy choice. Wish there were more OliOli's around Denmark.
27/12/2023: The quality has dropped a lot in recent years. There is no difference between medium and large apart from the container they come in. The last time I ordered there was even 100g more in a medium portion than in a large. Incidentally, the last two times I have received the wrong rice, and it seems to happen often.

06/12/2023: Absolutely perfect, exactly what you dream of when you order sushi. Definitely worth the extra few kroner, the amount of fish was generous and it was absolutely fresh. Come and eat!!
