Joe & The Juice

30/12/2024: I have rarely experienced such abysmal customer service as I was met with at Joe & The Juice. My experience was nothing short of disastrous, and I am appalled by the level of indifference and rudeness that was displayed.
When I entered the café, I was ready to order and expect the smiling and quick service that one would expect when visiting a café. But no – instead I was ignored for a full six minutes. Six minutes, during which four employees stood around doing absolutely nothing but talking and laughing with each other. Not one of them took the time to acknowledge my presence, as if I were invisible.
When I was finally allowed to order, it took them an incomprehensible long time to make a simple juice and sandwich. There was no rush, no queue, no apologies – just a shocking lack of efficiency and respect for the customer’s time. And for what? A mediocre juice and a sandwich that could just as easily have been made in a supermarket.
I can safely say that I will never step foot in that hole again. If Joe & The Juice wants to keep their customers, they should seriously consider training their staff on what proper customer service means. As a customer, you should feel welcome and appreciated – not an annoying interruption in the socializing of the employees.
Shame on you, Joe & The Juice. You get one star – and that’s only because I can’t give zero!!😡😡😡😡😡

04/08/2024: Our birthday brunch experience at Hasselager kro was terrible.
We ordered brunch for NOK 355 per person. person, where there would be what a brunch should contain incl. coffee/tea and juice.
At the meeting with restaurateur Thomas Loft, he suggests bubbles and bitters, which are offered around twice. It sounds good and we agree to this. He then suggests that they can serve soft drinks and beer when the brunch is over. We also think that sounds good and say yes.
On the day itself, soft drinks and spring water are served at the start of the brunch, which was not the agreement.
Suddenly the juice is removed by the waiter before we finish eating. When I discover it, I ask him to put it back on the two tables he removed them from. The waiter doesn't answer me, and doesn't come back with the juice.
Suddenly I discover that the waiter has carried the champagne glasses out from two of the six tables. I then go into the kitchen to restaurateur Thomas Loft, to which he replies that it was written on his papers that it had to be offered twice and that there was almost nothing in the glasses. He then asks if they should come in with new glasses and offer them around. I decline that, as he says nothing about it being at the house's expense. I then ask that they not be removed from the remaining four tables, incl. my husband's and my table. But no more than 20 minutes pass, then I discover that the rest has been removed while I was out on the toilet. My husband and I had half a glass left and wanted to toast to the remaining speeches.
Suddenly the waiter walks around the tables with draft beer and offers. We also wonder about that, since it was not the agreement. The agreement was that beer would be served. And no one had come to my husband and I and asked if it was ok to change the agreement.
When we got the bill, he had written one more envelope than the final number we had given him. The price of the additional sale was of course also much higher than we had expected, because our guests had to remove their drinks, which were included in the brunch, and had to take soda/spring water and beer for the last part of their meal.
Subsequently, we contacted Thomas Loft, who did not want to meet with us, but who completely ignored our disappointment in writing and simply wrote that they have done exactly as they usually do and that people are usually happy, but that I can deduct the extra envelope from the bill.
We feel really badly treated and wanted to support locally by having our party there, but it was a huge disappointment. We would in no way recommend the place to others.
