De bedste restauranter i Sorø

03/07/2025: D. 30. juni var jeg i Sorø og ville finde et sted at spise frokost. Jeg valgte Café Valencia, fordi man kunne sidde ude, og vejret var godt. Jeg kendte ikke stedet i forvejen. Jeg bestilte en græsk hakkebøf med pebersauce. Jeg blev ikke spurgt, hvordan kødet skulle steges – hvilket gav mening, da maden blev serveret: En cirka 1 cm tynd, grå skive med flammegrillede mærker. Kødet var gennemstegt, tørt og smuldrende, ærlig talt virkelig utiltalende. "Sovsen", som skulle være en pebersauce, kom i en lille skål som en sortbrun masse med konsistens som budding eller flan. Smagen matchede udseendet, lige så ubehagelig. Jeg påpegede over for tjeneren, at maden ganske enkelt var uspiselig. Hun svarede, at “det jo ikke er hakkebøf, som du ville lave den derhjemme” –hvad det så end skal betyde. Hun sagde dog, at jeg ville få rabat, når jeg skulle betale. Jeg forsøgte at spise lidt, men det var tydeligt præfrosset kød, overdøvet af for mange krydderier i et forsøg på at skjule den ringe kvalitet. Sovsen smagte af halvfabrikata. Det var simpelthen ikke det værd – ikke engang for at blive mæt. Jeg forstår ikke, hvordan Valencias kok eller ejere kan stå inde for sådan en ret. Det er virkelig sørgeligt. Og når man oven i købet forlanger 71 kr. for en halv liter sodavand, siger det også noget om stedets prioriteringer. Da jeg skulle betale, fik jeg skam rabatten, som lovet – hele 11 kr.. Jeg følte mig ærligt talt til grin, da jeg forlod stedet. Det var den dårligste mad, jeg har fået i meget, meget lang tid. I alt endte jeg med at betale 209 kr. for en 0,5 liter sodavand og fire pomfritter. Forfærdeligt sted.

29/06/2025: You don't get served what is written on the menu, under the description of the dish, you order a steak, where you have to cut more than half of it off to just tendons. When the service is removed from the table, they don't remove it from everyone even though everyone has finished, so the plate was still left when we left.

02/06/2025: I had the most miserable bacon cheese burger. The steak is extremely bad and strangely seasoned. Now I understand better that I was the only one in the restaurant. Will never come back.

22/05/2025: Ordered a salad pizza which was delayed by 15 minutes even though the restaurant wasn't busy.. it was cold and without tomato and cucumber even though the website said it was on the pizza 😅 In addition, the salad was strangely cut into long strips which made most of the salad fall off when you ate.

20/08/2025: Cozy little station cafe. Nice sandwiches, nothing fancy. Good way to keep the station lively, so you can get a coffee to take with you on the train.

28/07/2025: Very boring sandwich. Slack lettuce. Sour red onion. Tiny pieces of cheese that were cut into small cubes. Boring bread. Can't recommend it.

16/02/2025: A very nice bakery with good bread and good service. However, you may well be quite disappointed by their cakes, which lack taste and size. And their coffee in the shop is not fantastic and by the way the portions you can buy are really small. Like to pick up bread there, but cake and coffee are available elsewhere in the city.

04/04/2025: So I think it's impressive that your fries are never done. Have ordered 3 times from you and thought it was an accident the first time. But now I get a box where they are almost still frozen and no salad in them either. Quite unfortunate ): ex.

16/05/2025: Hard to explain what kind of place it is, it's worn and tired, but they must have it clean. The lady who was there in the morning was really nice and welcoming.
