Here, the details and the senses are really pampered at this small "family restaurant". However, it is not like down south where it is "grandmother" who is behind the pots but young Benedikte, which probably shines through in the interior and the setting.
Brormand provides competent service and serving to everyone and the youngest family member of 13 years also helps - with the dishes.
And as others have written, don't be fooled by the decor with cheap IKEA furniture and the plastic flowers in the ceiling. They are also in the risk zone when the food is expertly flambéed at the table.
They should actually have a Michelin star, because it really means that the food is worth taking a detour for, and you have to do that to get here to "land's end".
Highly recommended.

It's damn far away, but it's worth the trip for EVERYONE.. otherwise, stay nearby and book a table 2 days in a row! and then you can also enjoy one more glass:-)

If you want to experience euphoria for your taste buds, visit this place! and there are wines/drinks for every taste!...
The 6-course menu is incredibly cheap considering the quantity and ingredients to be enjoyed!... do yourself a big favor and visit this place in Lohals!.. we will definitely visit the place again!
but book a table well in advance during the high season, because it's a cozy little restaurant with few seats inside and it's great to be able to sit and enjoy the fantastic dishes and actually be able to talk over the table without interruptions!
A gem in Lohals that we hope is here to stay and will remain where it is :-)

13/05/2025: Love these small, local smokehouses! Also serves ready meals, we tried the Fish Fritters 😋!
Closed Mondays, otherwise open every day.

23/04/2025: Really great bakery, we bought a few baguettes and brown bread and a rum ball on the way through. Very friendly service, the baguettes were a hit, did you like the rum ball? You have to ask my wife, I didn't get anything!!!

08/06/2025: Beautiful, dated room. The surroundings were well-maintained. The food (the fish) was very good. There's still room for improvement at breakfast. For example, only filter coffee was served, even though the coffee machine was available but not turned on.
21/05/2025: Beautiful buildings, delicious lunch served in a very large hall. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive in any way, skillful. As I suggested 14 days ago, one could successfully replace one of the small dishes on the board with a small piece of cheese.

29/05/2025: Great place! If we had seen the menu before we left, we wouldn't have come. The dishes were new to us and no recognizable classics on the menu. But we took the chance and jumped in. Confit duck burger, baked feta, sandwich with eggplant and straciatella, salads and delicious drinks with cava and rhubarb. The sun was shining, the courtyard was cozy and the service was super sweet❤️🍸

The roast pork was dry and tough as if it had been frozen and heated up in the microwave. The only thing that had quality was the bun

10/04/2025: The food tasted quite unremarkable, if you don't take the price into account. Ordered a salad pizza and asked if there was tomato and cucumber on it, it wasn't. So I asked if I could have it on my salad pizza and then they chose to charge me DKK 20 for 4 slices of cucumber and 4 slices of tomatoes. It was then rounded up to DKK 120 for ONE pizza. This is not what I would call good service!

Very welcoming staff with a twinkle in their eye.
Had Faroese salmon, country cuisine - duck breast, cheese plate, chocolate mousse
Salmon was delicious, I personally could have used a little smoked cheese in the dish
Country cuisine - duck breast, the dish was nicely composed with druge-sov and various. Root vegetables, mushrooms and mash. However, the meat was a little on the dry side, could have wished it was a little more tender
Cheese plate was delicious and there was great flexibility regarding which types of cheese we did not want and the kitchen managed to hit it really well, high praise
Chocolate mousse, absolutely fantastic, it must be tried again, was served with fresh berries and perfect plum.
The restaurant itself is a former horse stable where tables have been arranged in horse pens where you sit on benches, which means you can really have your own company.
However, I wish there were cushions to sit on.
We were very satisfied with our visit.
29/10/2024: We had the pleasure of attending Pichardt's legendary Game Night and it was a wonderful experience! As industry professionals for many years, we are not exactly the easiest guests to impress, but this event exceeded all expectations.
Every element of the evening was completely thought out, from the beautifully presented dishes to the relaxed, professional service. The staff were welcoming and managed to create a warm and homely atmosphere, while they presented the wonderful dishes with great expertise. It is rare that we experience food where there is absolutely nothing to put a finger on - but this was the case here. Every bite was a delight, imbued with carefully selected ingredients and fantastically composed flavors that testified to an enormous passion for gastronomy.
We noticed that many of the other guests were repeat guests, and that is completely understandable. We definitely intend to return as well and make it a regular tradition. Pichardt is gastronomy at a high level, but without pretense or unnecessary bragging. Well done, Pichardt family! We are already looking forward to the next time we are allowed to be part of this very special experience – it will undoubtedly be a pleasure again!
