03/05/2025: Went down today to get a grilled suckling pig with creamed potatoes, salad, bread chips, it tasted really good and there was enough of it and the rind was nice and crispy, the service was great, not the last time we come to eat.
06/04/2025: Authentic, old atmosphere. As if time has stood still for a while. Really good food. Got the dish of the day: the day's roast beef. 'Local' brewed soft drink from Ribe. Sweet and friendly service. Fast operation. Two meals and four soft drinks under DKK 400. Room for tips.

24/04/2026: We hadn't been there for several years, but now it was time to try again, a lunch menu, consists of many small dishes of your choice, there are several different meat dishes, beef tenderloin is served hot, and it is very delicious, all other dishes are like cold dishes, there are fish, several different meat dishes, several different cheese dishes, they were delicious, and of course also some dishes for the sweet tooth. The place itself is unique, as if it were in an old castle, and with a large fireplace, raw stone walls and stone floor, visible old huge wooden beams in the ceiling, an old coffee machine for grinding the beans, stands in one corner, and it still works. The place oozes charm and raw coziness, the food is very tasty, as is the place's wine.
It is a place you return to.
24/01/2026: A lovely restaurant in the basement. We were a large party of 13 people and had a 4-course menu. There was plenty of food, everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented, and it tasted really good. The atmosphere was cozy and very atmospheric. I would definitely come again.

25/07/2025: They have a gluten free pizza base! And it’s terrific! It’s a thin and crispy base, it’s tasty, and not grainy. It was delicious. The toppings were also delicious. They staff members were all very nice to me, even though they were busy and I don’t speak Danish.

Suitable for both a la carte and parties.
The staff are young people at STU who are passionate about their work.

SportsCenter Danmark - Vejen Idrætscenter

19/12/2025: I am generally very disappointed with Vejen Idrætscenter's training center. Between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., especially on weekdays, the center is often so crowded that it is difficult to get a proper workout at all. Large groups of young people take up a lot of space and many machines, making it almost impossible for other members to get there.
In addition, a large part of the equipment is worn and defective. Several machines seem tired and poorly maintained, which does not live up to the level that one should be able to expect.
The price of 375 DKK per month is, in my opinion, completely unreasonable. It is on par with – or higher than – larger and significantly better training centers in Copenhagen, which offer more space, better equipment and generally better facilities.
Overall, it seems as if the center is more focused on making money than on ensuring its members proper training conditions, sufficient space and facilities that match the price. Vejen Idrætscenter would clearly benefit from real competition, for example from chains like PureGym, which often manage to deliver better facilities and more value for money.

23/03/2026: Just the best. The seven course meal was delicious and when matched with the non-alcoholic drinks (was on 2000+ mile road trip) options it was perfect. Well looked after whilst we were there. Super hidden little ken of a place
