10/09/2026: The banh mi was absolutely packed with flavour, the pork was cooked perfectly, almost like a confit, and the fresh vegetables complemented it perfectly. Fair prices and a good portion size, definitely worth trying!

24/08/2026: At Bánh Mì Bandits, I finally got to try the famous Vietnamese sandwich for the first time in my life. I'd had the chance to try it at various food festivals before, but somehow it never quite happened. Here at Aarhus Street Food, it really appealed to me. I opted for the Bánh Mì with lemongrass-marinated chicken, sesame mayo, ginger cream, cucumber, Đồ Chua (a type of Vietnamese soy sauce), and soy sauce. I also added fresh avocado. I appreciate that you can choose which ingredients to leave out. I skipped the coriander and chili because I wasn't in the mood for them and could easily do without them. Despite all the special toppings, the sandwich was missing one very basic and essential ingredient: Salt. The many aromatic spice notes, the acidity, and the different textures were certainly interesting in their interplay, but I simply missed a fundamental, grounding saltiness that would not only have rounded out the dish but, for me, would have been essential for a truly great taste experience. So it was okay, but unfortunately not a highlight. And with my already far too full stomach, I probably shouldn't have chosen it in the end and should have left room for something else.

11/09/2026: The food is nice. But the host talks too much about unimportant things. And not easy to stop

10/01/2026: Really good food and cozy atmosphere. But the chairs and tables are almost at child height. There were two of us and we ordered the Vietnamese national soup Pho and a dish with rice noodles and spring rolls. For starters we had tempura shrimp. Also delicious homemade lemonade. It all tasted delicious and fresh. The only downside was the chairs that were too low and the tables that were too small. Our backs simply hurt after 45 minutes. Otherwise, the food is definitely recommended. For two we paid a total of 500 DKK including tip.
