Cool Nordic design, and I really liked the look of the bar. For lunch or brunch, you traditionally eat smørrebrød, which are very tasty open-faced sandwiches. Try a few! They have gluten-free bread that tastes almost like regular bread. The beef tartare (the one on the photo) and marinated herring were great, and there are many options to choose from. They also serve good local beer (Aamanns 1921 Wit Blanch) and tasty signature cocktails. It quite warm inside, but it is still okay despite the heat these days

Lovely open sandwiches! We ordered six different varieties, and they all tasted amazing. The premises are bright and tastefully decorated. The waiters were incredibly polite and nice. We had a puppy with us, and without us having to ask they brought her a water bowl. It's not something we take for granted, and we really appreciate it. We will definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aamanns 1921, and it was a genuinely wonderful experience from start to finish. If you are looking for a place that beautifully balances traditional Danish flavors with a highly refined atmosphere, this is definitely the spot you need to visit. The open-faced sandwiches, which the restaurant is quite famous for, were pretty tasty. They clearly use high-quality, fresh ingredients, and you can really taste the care put into every single bite. However, while the sandwiches were quite good, the desserts were just absolutely spot on. They were perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and provided the absolute best conclusion to the meal. I would highly recommend saving some room for dessert because it is truly the highlight of the menu. Beyond the food itself, the interior of the restaurant is simply beautiful. The design is elegant, modern, and creates a very inviting ambiance for a relaxed lunch or an intimate dinner. The attention to detail extends to the facilities as well; the toilets are spotless and very well maintained, which is always a great sign of a well-run establishment. When it comes to the bill, the prices are completely okay for Denmark, offering fair value for the high quality of food and excellent service you receive. Lastly, if you enjoy a good drink, you absolutely must try the local snaps. It is a fantastic traditional touch that pairs perfectly with the food and elevates the entire dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area and looking for an authentic yet modern culinary experience.

The food tastes good. The service was friendly and attentive.

Steak was very difficult to chew, I hardly could finish it. Fried shrimps (small ones) not peeled, not sure how we were supposed to eat them (so we almost didnt touch it). Smorrebrod was good, as well as service.

Great restaurant with an awesome, creative menu.

I was here for the third time today with a group of friends (the last two visits were a couple of years ago). I consider this a must visit for anyone who is in Copenhagen. The food was delicious as always, but the reason I'm leaving this review is to say that the service was also excellent. I did not catch his name, but our waiter (very tall guy) was friendly, laid back and very helpful when my friend asked for snaps advice. As a native Dane I rarely tip, but would have tipped in this case had I not screwed up when using the payment machine (it said something about a tip, I pressed OK expecting it to ask for a percentage and instead the payment just went through). To briefly summarize, this was my third time visiting, and it will not be the last :)

All the waiter and waitress were very very nice and patience. Great hospitality. The blonde waitress serving us were very kind and recommended us some options on how to order. Food was solid but a little too salty for me. Overall, very nice option for dining.

Excellent restaurant with great food and a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, even with our young boys. Can’t wait to come back!
