Alimentum Aalborg

Indescribable........... and yet. My wife and I were on a Christmas shopping trip and had chosen to have lunch at Restaurant Alimentum. We were greeted at the door by the sweetest waiter who showed us to a table for 2 by the window. We had ordered a 9 serving with an accompanying wine menu. The food came in stages or heats. Beautifully arranged and a detailed story about what we needed and where it came from. At the same time, there was also time to ask questions and find out what and how. First we got 4 soups, a delicious snack consisting of: Karl Johan - pig Jerusalem artichokes - malt 2020 Riesling Trocken - Germany Octopus - chili Glass bowl - fresh cheese Menu: Sourdough bread - whipped butter 2020 Grauburgunder - Germany Hamachi - tomato - radish 2019 Leithaberg, Chardonnay - Austria Celery - hazelnuts - brown butter 2019 Cotes Du Rhone - France Krondyt - beder - elderberry 2020 Epilog, Guldbæk Vingård - Denmark Thyboost - mushrooms Carrot - honey 2020 Les Grains des Copains - Framkrig The pictures speak for themselves. But it is the best to date we have been served. So thanks for the food

Visited Alimentum with my husband on a calm Wednesday evening to celebrate my birthday. Everything was in the highest class - food, wine, juice, information, service, atmosphere. We felt very special. :) The fact that they are so into ecological products and sustainability is fantastic. That is the way to go. Have we already told all our friends about this amazing experience? Yes! And we will continue on doing that. Thank you so much! P.S. The price is on the high end. So maybe not an everyday thing, but definitely for a special occasion for someone that appreciates excellent food and outstanding service.

We let ourselves be guided into the chef's world and enjoyed the surprise menu of 3 starters, 3 hot dishes and dessert (+ appetizers and petit fours) where gluttony and curiosity led us to also taste the cheese . Each dish is a subtle blend of flavors, colors and textures. The accompanying drinks (wines for my companion and non-alcoholic for me) are perfectly thought out and successful. Special mention to the alcohol-free version, a delicious juice made from various teas, fruits, herbs or spices. The entire team around this talented chef is passionate and transmits this passion. Every dish, every drink has a story, even the dishes and we enjoyed listening to them almost as much as tasting! This chef has ethics and a strong commitment to responsible, seasonal, short-circuit cuisine; the restaurant also has its own farm a few km away. A taste experience out of the ordinary... that's all there is to say. A really good concept with ingredients from the local area, and flavors that combined incredibly well. The wines are also well suited to each dish, and their non-alcoholic alternatives are made from home-made juices and also go really well with each dish. Even if you are gluten and lactose intolerant, they can adapt the menu accordingly, and still retain the good flavors.

The food tasted excellent but don't sacrifice so much money a second time. A little snobbery

Unfortunately the last time we come by. Have visited Alimentum 2 times, where the 1st time was a fantastic experience and the 2nd time, in terms of taste, did not live up to the 1st time at all. The food and drinks: Visit 1: The pictures speak for themselves in terms of expression. Taste experiences at a very high level, with wine that is paired perfectly with the food. It goes up into a higher unity. Don't expect to be full. Very small dishes, but fortunately bread is served ad libitum and homemade butter. Visit 2: The food was disappointing and so was the wine. But nice dishes. 2 wow experiences where food and wine play perfectly together, out of 16 servings and 5 wines, is not the aforementioned top class. And no bread ad libitum… Service: The service was top notch, both on the 1st and 2nd visit. Friendly, humorous and attentive. Price and quality: On the 1st visit it went together well and we have praised the place to the skies. 2nd visit, here the above praises were put to shame. It is no longer worth the money. Unfortunately! Will we come again? No, we don't.

A lovely experience, exciting food, good service, where the staff explained all the dishes, the wine and the juice menu. A cozy environment with a good atmosphere and there was time to ask in-depth questions about the food. I want to emphasize the bread with nice butter. Ended the evening with coffee, brewed at the table. A good evening with my husband.
