Ard Bakery Frederiksberg

I tried ARD Bakery after reading many people recommending it, and it did not disappoint. The Cardamom Bun really excellent, the flavor and texture. I also loved the ceramic saucer. The cappuccino is also good. I would definitely go back, it was a great discovery!

Expensive - but one of the best bakers in the country.

ARD Bakery is a hidden find in Copenhagen that’s absolutely worth the detour. Their sourdough is world-class, especially when it’s fresh out of the oven in the morning—an absolute treat! The pastries are outstanding, and you can’t miss the cinnamon roll. Make sure to try it while it's hot—wow! The staff are incredibly friendly, adding to the overall warm and inviting atmosphere. Though it’s a bit off the beaten path from the main tourist areas, it’s well worth the visit. Go and enjoy!

ARD bakery is a hidden treasure in the outskirts of Copenhagen. After a run at the beautiful nearby Damhusengen lake, I happened to walk by and decided to stop for a post-run cappuccino and pastry. I asked the cashier for a recommendation, and she told me the Tebirkes is the most traditional, but the bakery is mostly known for its cinnamon rolls. I tried the latter, and it indeed might have been the best one I'd ever had. It was so good that I decided to go back to the cash desk and order a sourdough bread for lunch. I feasted on it for days, and will gladly be visiting again to try out more of their delicious baked goods! One suggestion: the cappuccino would have been even more tasty in a porcelain cup instead of a paper cup.

One of my favorite bakeries in Copenhagen. Hard to walk past once you've found it, but easy to miss if you haven't visited or heard about it before. Good variety that changes regularly. Sweetest and very excellent staff!

Small bakery with a great understanding of bread, cake and ingredients. Always a hit

Super delicious and filling sesame balls, and I love their take on the classic channel snail. However, I have not been so lucky with their "French bread", which I have bought once or twice when their buns have sold out. If you plan to use them when you have guests over, I think it's a good idea to order them in advance, or come very early as their buns in particular tend to be sold out.
