Augustenborg Garden Sønderborg

We have previously eaten at Augustenborg Garden several times and been very satisfied, but this was the first time with new owners. We had looked at the website menu in advance and booked a table. When we arrived, none of the dishes were available, the choice was a three-course menu or a grill buffet. We chose the grill buffet. But what a disappointment, we had apparently arrived so late that there was only salmon, chicken and pork knuckle left. The knuckle seemed like they had been made in advance and not grilled, they were half cold. There was no bread left, and when we asked for some, we got some stale bread that seemed like it had just been defrosted. Other side dishes were potatoes and a boring salad mix and various dressings. All in all, a boring and expensive experience - we will not be back.

I happened to pass by on my trip to Augustenborg. I think it's great! The ambiance inside and the beautiful terrace overlooking the park with its sculptures are something special! The owner is very nice, and even though things were a bit "wild" at the time, she remained relaxed and calm (like all Danes I've met). My cheesecake with lemon curd was delicious, and the other dishes served at the neighboring tables also looked very good. This café is definitely worth a visit!

After a short hike with my dog, I actually just wanted to grab a piece of cake and coffee. Because of the warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere, I stayed. The coffee and cake were delicious. I wish the cake slices were a bit bigger. ;) All the staff were very friendly and accommodating! I can recommend it with a clear conscience! Thank you!

We've never seen the staff put in so much effort and dedication as they did here. Simply admirable. How enchanting.

Had such a great experience for my daughter’s birthday, which we decided to invite family for. Friendliness of staff was great, beautifully decorated, and food well portioned at proper quality. Highly recommended.
