22/08/2026: Wow! That was a fantastic meal. Great explanation of the different dishes from the buffet. Absolutely authentic food! Very friendly family.

19/08/2026: Review We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant and can highly recommend it! We were welcomed incredibly warmly, and even though we had not made a reservation, they were still able to find us a table. We chose the buffet and mentioned that we are vegan. We were kindly informed that it would have been better to let them know in advance, but the staff were still extremely helpful and knowledgeable about which dishes were vegan. What really stood out was how attentive and accommodating they were: one of the staff members even brought us some special vegan chutneys to our table that were not part of the regular buffet. We genuinely felt very well looked after and almost like special guests. The service was exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive, and the food was delicious. A big thank you to the entire team for making our evening so enjoyable. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant — especially to anyone looking for great vegan options and genuinely warm hospitality!

04/09/2026: A real hidden gem! A very quiet little café with a charming interior. Tucked away in a side street; outdoor seating available. A selection of cakes and pastries, as well as waffles and light hot dishes. Very friendly service. Highlight: You get to smell the tea first to make sure you choose the right one! 😍💕

28/08/2026: An incredibly cute and cozy café. My wife and I were here and felt very welcome. We were very well looked after, and the food and cappuccino were simply delicious. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back!

07/06/2026: Can only say WAUW!! Absolutely fantastic experience. Everything was well thought out and they took care of all the details. We celebrated a big birthday a few weeks before and of course that was also noticed. The experience started already in the foyer, where a waiter picked us up and we got the first serving in the elevator up. After 5.5 hours we left happy, full and full of impressions with a little goodie bag from Syttende for us. WAUW.

03/09/2026: A Burger King restaurant like any other in the world. My impression was that it's a fairly small restaurant, with four screens for ordering and a few tables and chairs. The burgers were fine and tasted good. The staff, apart from the woman who brought the food to the table, were mostly in the background but nice and friendly. I was a little bothered by the children, who were noisy, running around the restaurant, and screaming a lot, but oh well, that's to be expected. All in all, it was okay...

16/05/2026: Breakfast at Ballebro Færgekro. A very special experience. You are greeted with a smile at the reception, the table is ready, the bread is freshly baked and still warm, egg muffins, pancakes, homemade jam and good stories. Everything is delicious. The view is priceless and the hotel has been restored as if it were brand new and 150 years old. Even on a rainy day you can't help but smile. We will definitely come again.

18/08/2026: Best sushi place in town! Great variety of dishes with some really good original creations. Try the crispy mango rolls which are light and fresh. The quality is high and the sushi is very well presented with attention to detail. Plenty of healthy and delicious options. Staff and service is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy.

It is clear that the owners are passionate about what they do – and are not afraid to experiment and create new, exciting Asian dishes with a creative twist. The food is of high quality with fresh ingredients, and there is always something new and delicious to try, whether you are into classic favorites or new flavor combinations. 20/08/2026: A very nice place with great food and atmosphere.

20/08/2026: We were two walkers with a dog, tired and hungry and the rain was coming (as it's often the case in Denmark). We asked if we could still eat there and we were warmly welcomed by the gentle staff. The standing is quite high and even though we weren't matching it, they served us very well. The food was good and beautifully arranged, the service was elegant and kind. All of that for a very affordable price. So you should go there without thinking twice, you will be properly received and eat well.

14/04/2026: After exploring Sonderborg in the morning, we decided to have lunch at Cafe Kjukken. It is a modern, bright, and cozy cafe, right next to the library. Large windows offer a view of the wide waters of the fjord that runs through Sonderborg. We ordered an iced coffee, a decaffeinated coffee, and rye bread with fish fillet, shrimp, lettuce, roe, and mayonnaise. The taste, freshness, and presentation of the plate were fantastic. The service was friendly, humorous, and knowledgeable—top-notch. The value for money is good. A wonderful lunch for us in Sonderborg.
