Update from May 2026: We were so excited to come back, but they don't order Shooting Star for dinner anymore 😔. Ordered schnitzel and it lacked any flavor and was very chewy. Minus 2 stars. An amazing small restaurant in the center of Copenhagen. The 2 most popular dishes are the Shooting Star (fish 2 ways with shrimp) and the fried pork (all you can eat). Great selection of beers and wine. Very highly recommended!

Really good service and the quality of the food was well prepared.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Close to Copenhagen train station. Food was served quickly, and the beer was ice cold! Excellent!

Pork roast and beer. Excellent experience. We had booked a table in the early evening. It was getting very busy in there by the time we were leaving.

Axelborg Bodega was a great find. Good draft beer selection, friendly service, and delicious food. My said the mussels were the best she ever had. I had the fried pork that came with potatoes and beets. (It’s also an all-you-can-eat menu selection!) it was delicious, and I did order refills. The beer was cold, the patrons were mostly locals, and the atmosphere was welcoming. If you are in central Copenhagen, this restaurant is worth your time.

Super cozy old bodega, with a lot of nostalgia from the time when the travel king Simon Spies liked to come here, so there are several pictures of him on the walls. And good music in the background too. Sweet and friendly service.
