I had a wonderful stay, the staff it’s very kind and the hotel it’s super clean with comfortable beds 😊

Hands down our favorite hotel in Copenhagen 🤩 Staff is friendly and helpful, love the fact that dogs are allowed and can get food and treats for our furry friend. Also love their products which we buy for our own home too.

We spent 4 nights in Babette; we chose the hotel mainly due to its location and dog friendliness (250 DKK for the whole stay). The location of the hotel was ideal for us as it was both close to the city centre and to the nearby park (comes in handy when travelling with a dog). There is also a grocery store just across the street. The parking situation in that part of the city is horrible, a nice plus for the hotel is the possibility of reserving a parking spot in front of the hotel (295 DKK/day). On the expensive side, but well worth it. The room itself, just like the hotel, was decorated in its style. We liked the concept of a sustainable, organic hotel that seems to be in focus at Babette. There were various organic cosmetic products available in the room (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hand lotion, body oil) which all smelled and felt amazing. We got cozy slippers (unfortunately only one set even though we were two). The downside of the room was the awful smell in the bathroom that was there when we arrived and never went away. Additionally, the shower curtain seemed dirty/worn out and didn’t really do its job - a big minus with a bathroom as small as this one was. What I missed were medium sized towels - we only got 3 huge ones and 2 tiny ones. The room service was disappointing - the first two days our room didn’t get cleaned at all, even though we were out most of the day (ca. 9:00-15:00). We also didn’t receive any additional coffee bags, TP or clean towels, for example. On the third day our room got tidied up, but not properly. For example, the coffee mugs were still dirty (yet turned around as if they were clean). We grabbed dinner from the hotel restaurant (Skagen) and were allowed to take everything to our room. The food was very tasty. The staff of the hotel were super friendly and our dog even got cuddles upon arrival. For our next trip to Copenhagen we will probably choose a different hotel to be able to fully enjoy our stay. For a 4-star hotel there is in my opinion plenty of room for improvement. A shame, as we really appreciated the concept behind the Guldsmeden hotels.

The only downside for this excellent hotel is the removal of any lounge in favor of an a la carte restaurant with little variety as well as the removal of good vegetable soup and more vegetarian and light dishes from the restaurant. The welcome, especially at breakfast, is very administrative and not always warm. But it’s still very good!

This is my second stay and I love love the concept, decorations and especially the staffs. 3 things in my opinion can be improved: - The toothpaste tablet is a excellent touch to the whole eco friendly mission but the quality of those tablets are not good. They don't foam or spread well in your mouth. It would be such a bad impression of toothpaste tablets for people who has never tried them before. I have been using much better toothpaste tablets (from a Netherland brand called Smyle) for 2 years now and they are incredible. I would highly recommend you try them and you will see what a massive improvement in performance Smyle toothpaste tablets are. Hopefully you can switch this bad toothpaste tablets away for some better performance tablets. - I wish there were flipflops inside the room. Copenhagen was rainy and some area muddy, without the flipflops it get really messy with the outdoor shoes and socks or barefoot inside the room. - My room (409) on the 4th floor was really hot and I don't know if there is a way you can cool it down a bit as I couldn't find a heater inside the room. Keep up the good work and hopefully I can be back soon.

Fantastic stay. Comfy beds. All you need!

I came to Copenhagen for the first time. The staff in the hotel were very friendly and tried to accommodate all my requests kindly. The hotel was beautiful and my room too; conveniently situated. The breakfast was fabulous and the coffee amazing (really important!). A little detail that will amuse you: as a woman, I found it really nice to have to toilet roll in front of me in the toilets, rather than on the side or at the back!. A note on the Copenhagen map you provide: it is inaccurate, I got lost every time I tried to use it (and I can read a map) and had to rely on people's help. I commend your hospitality and will be back if I have to stay in Copenhagen again. Sylvia

Kind and helpful staff, good location, tiny room, tiny bathroom, unconfortable bed, ok breakfast, expensive.

Very nice hotel that remains absolutely true to its style. Great lounge that invites you to linger. There is a restaurant next door, but we didn't use it because there wasn't enough choice for vegan people. Room: Very cozy and stylishly furnished. The four-poster bed frame has its charm. The mattresses are too hard and don't feel good. I woke up at least 5 times during the night. There is no way to darken the windows properly, see photo. (It was taken at 2:30). The rooms are so small that two people are constantly getting in each other's way. The view of Churchill Park was great.
