Barr København

Easy to give a perfect score to Barr, the food was phenomenal, drinks were good. I can't recommend it enough, cost about 500 kr per person (no wine), something I would easily pay for such good food, which I strongly expected to be much more expensive. If you want to try the best that Nordic cuisine has to offer, then Barr is high on the list.

Have been to Barr 3 times over the span of many years. Remains consistently good with both food and atmosphere, though better service and attention to detail would really take it somewhere else. Worth trying at least once.

Dua Lipa is right! Excellent food, the schnitzel was excellent. Very nice atmosphere, excellent service, the waiters speak several languages.

Excellent experience. Id like to highlight mostly the service. Everyone was attentive and explaining everything super good, even it was the first day after re-opening. The food was also great, the replanted negroni amazing, and the recommended wine really good as well. Only thing to note is that they kept on bringing us water we didnt order, (which we thought was included), so were surprised when we saw them all added to the tab. But i guess is a minor detail compared to the excellent evening we had. Thank you!

Had a really memorable dinner at BARR✨ Even though this wasn’t at BARR’s original location, getting to dine in noma’s former space made the whole experience feel extra special. The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was warm, and the space itself felt calm and comfortable. The food had a really clear sense of seasonality, and I could genuinely feel that the menu was centered around spring. The white asparagus soup was probably the standout for me — the sweetness of the asparagus, the acidity, the creamy texture, and the floral notes all came together in a way that felt very balanced and elegant. Nothing felt too strong or out of place. The chicken was also excellent. What I liked most was that it still felt like real chicken — the texture and flavor were honest and natural, not overworked or overly “cheffy.” The asparagus, potatoes, vegetables, and sauces alongside it were all simple on their own, but together they created something that felt refined without trying too hard. I also ended up really enjoying the shared table / communal dining format. As a solo diner, it felt a little intimidating at first, especially with the sharing aspect and the social side of it, but once I relaxed, I actually found it really fun. It made the dinner feel more alive and more human. BARR doesn’t feel stiff or overly formal — it feels thoughtful, warm, and grounded. This was also part of my birthday trip, and the restaurant was incredibly sweet about it. They put a little Danish flag at my seat, and the staff kept wishing me happy birthday throughout the night. It was both a little embarrassing and very charming in the best way. The staff were warm, polite, and made me feel very welcome, especially as someone dining alone. Dessert was a very soft vanilla pudding with cream and fruit compote, and it was such a gentle way to end the meal. Different from the kind of pudding I’m used to, but really lovely. Overall, this dinner felt seasonal, thoughtful, and full of personality. I’d absolutely love to visit BARR’s original restaurant in the future.

Barr at Noma was a mixed experience. The atmosphere and architecture of the Noma space is exceptional. I found the staff to be kind and helpful. The food was average, and served family style per group of 6 which can be slightly uncomfortable depending on whom you’re sat with. I was luckily sat with an amazing group of people. While I enjoyed the space and people I was sat with, this experience is nowhere near the $300 price tag per head in my opinion. The food and pairing should be worth that value, and it’s just simply not. There are plenty of other places in town where you could get an incredible experience for that price.

Everything was perfect, delicious food, amazing atmosphere and service

Last-minute reservation during our stay in Copenhagen. We enjoyed this family-style sharing menu around a long table where we mingled with strangers from all over the world. More than just the menu, which rivals Michelin-starred restaurants, the concept of the family table and sharing is fabulous. I will return when Noma reopens in Copenhagen, but Barr gave me a little taste and made me want to come back. Bravo and thank you for this wonderful shared experience and the impeccable service provided by the entire team.
