Mad & Kaffe København

The café was full and we were keen on getting a table inside- fortunately, we didn't have to wait long. We chose five items from the breakfast menu and everything was really delicious and fresh. The oyster mushrooms with vinegar powder and the tiramisu deserve special mention. The café was our first stop after leaving the airport and later with full stomachs, we were ready to set off and explore beautiful Copenhagen ☺️

Great cafe atmosphere. Seating inside or outside. Service was friendly and prompt. Food was good. For drinks we did elderberry lemonade and rhubarb lemonade, which were quite good.

The breakfast was delicious, with dishes served in small plates. They were all delicious. It's worth ordering more, though, as the portions are quite small. The coffee was fantastic. We had to wait in line for a while, but it was definitely worth it!

Mad & Kaffe in Vesterbro is rightfully one of the most popular hangouts in the city. The place exudes an incredibly relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, while the concept of composing your own plate by choosing between 3, 5 or 7 delicious options (with friske große / fresh ingredients) is simply fantastic. From the avocado and scrambled eggs to the fresh pastries, everything is meticulously prepared to perfection. The shop is extremely popular and attracts a lot of people, so if you want to find a table at the beautiful outdoor benches under the umbrellas and enjoy your coffee while watching the pulse of the neighborhood, make sure to come relatively early or have a little patience for a walk-in. The service is very fast and the staff is very polite. Don't miss it!

A very unique brunch experience. We didn't order very well, as it was our first time eating there. One sauce per person would have been better. The rye bread seemed more cost-effective than croissants. The pistachio tiramisu was delicious.

Food and coffee are very good, but for the price you pay the service should be much better and definitely faster... 35 minutes waiting for a brunch with the local not even full.

Nice concept where you order different small dishes, 3, 5 or 7 from a menu with a fairly good and varied selection. I am vegetarian and thought there were several options to choose from. However, there was less choice of vegan options to choose from. It is recommended to book a table as there always seems to be a queue. I got there at about 10.45 and there were 4 groups ahead of me in line. An employee at the entrance wrote us down on a list and announced that we would have to wait on the other side of the street until she called out your name to be shown their table. Due to the house next door being renovated and a lawnmower cutting the grass, it was difficult to hear when the names were called out. The employee who called out the names only called out the name on the list on one or two occasions in quick succession before moving on to the next name on the list. However, I saw when the group in front of me in line was shown their table and at the same time saw that a new table became available outside. By then I had been waiting for about 15-20 minutes. So I walked across the street and stood outside to be ready for my turn. The employee who called out the names came up to me and asked, in a rather unfriendly tone, what I was doing there and told me to stand on the other side of the street. When I said I was next on the list and pointed to the empty table, she told me to go and stand on the other side of the road. Just as I got to the other side of the street, she called out my name and directed me to the empty table without a greeting, smile or information. After a while, another employee came and asked if I had ordered. When I said no, she got the menu and put it on the table without any explanation. I filled in my requests and after a while the employee came back and took the menu. I was served my drink order quickly and I didn't have to wait long for my food either. All the dishes looked nice and everything on the tray tasted very good. Somewhat small portions for the price but since everything was tasty I can be lenient for the price. However, the service leaves more to be desired for it to be a full pot in the rating. Both the venue and outdoor seating were very nice but there was easily a higher volume indoors due to many guests.

The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, exactly what you want from a Copenhagen brunch spot. A special thank you to Matilda, who helped me with a vegetarian and gluten-free option. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure I had a delicious meal without any worry. It's rare to find such thoughtful service, and it made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Copenhagen, especially following a special diet like me, and I'd happily come back. Thank you, Mad & Kaffe team!
