Bistro Grand Mère Sønderborg

We sat for some drinks at the waterfront. It was really nice, good atmosphere. The service was okay - not really fast; possibly it was more busy inside. We went inside to pay the bill. But overall the service was really friendly and the drinks were quite good!

We actually only ended up there because we weren't served at another restaurant. We're still glad we did, because the Bistro Grand Mere was wonderful. The staff were super friendly, and the view of the harbor was beautiful. We had salmon rillette, mussels, entrecôte, and chocolate mousse. Everything was delicious. The only thing I would have to criticize is the selection of main courses from 5 p.m. onwards. Too few, as the rest wouldn't have been to our taste. So I couldn't go there often. There were only 5 main courses. One of them was vegetarian.

Beautiful place with a large terrace overlooking the harbor. The food we ordered was very good. The service was friendly but not focused. The food was delivered quickly, but dessert took a very long time to arrive. Our reordered drinks didn't arrive either.

At a sunny day I orderd moules frite at the waterfront. Service was very friendly. Location was excelent to see the sailing boats passing. Beer was cold and food was delicious.

Excellent! The food was a dream, everything from the flavours, the service, the quality of the food was amazing. Value for the quality of the food & service is top!

Our visit was a complete success: delicious food (the moules frites were excellent), reasonable portions and prices, friendly multilingual service, a wonderful location, and clever details (the mayonnaise was mixed with Dijon mustard). Definitely not a tourist trap, and we would be repeat customers if we didn't have to leave.

Nice food and the service was also outstanding! The waiters are really nice and kind to us. We highly recommend the fish with shrimps :)

Der kom baguette og dejligt fransk smør på bordet fra start. Jeg fik den lækreste mad - østers og derefter flotte, friske hvide asparges med rejer og sauce hollandaise. Husets Sauvignon Blanc var helt perfekt dertil og til kun 65kr/glas. Personalet var ikke dansk, men meget servicemindede og skabte en hyggelig atmosfære. Priserne er absolut rimelige. Det var en helt perfekt aften på denne hyggelige bistro med udsigt over havnen. Jeg kommer helt sikkert igen <3
