A fantastic restaurant, a wonderful atmosphere, a super friendly owner, and the breakfast couldn't have been better. Five stars aren't enough, really, but there were two of us and we're happy to both give it five stars, so ten in total. Thank you so much, Malu and Ulla!

Really worth a visit. There is a SO cozy and relaxed atmosphere in the old barn, which is beautifully decorated - enjoy the warmth by the wood-burning stove and taste some of the homemade dishes - have a chat with Merete and maybe buy some ceramics etc. to take home.

Hospitality is paramount here. The hostess speaks fluent Danish, German, English, and French. Since she shares dinner and breakfast with the guests, a very welcoming atmosphere develops, and everyone quickly strikes up conversations. The small café is incredibly cozy. Dinner is freshly cooked, and everything is organic, healthy, and above all, delicious. Breakfast was also very plentiful and tasty. We will definitely be back! This is a must-visit!

This was one of our most memorable experiences in Denmark. Beautiful setting, great food prepared with much love, and the most gracious and lovely hosts who accommodated our late request for dinner, which is served family-style for those staying with them or by reservation (or for stragglers like us). Very worth seeking out.

We spent one night at this place with our campervan. The services offered include electricity, water, toilets, and a washing machine. But you can also have dinner (you must book in the morning for the evening) and breakfast (let us know in the evening): local and/or organic products are preferred. We had both dinner and breakfast and really enjoyed ourselves. It's friendly because it's a table d'hôtes: we all eat at the same table. The owner speaks four languages: Danish, German, French, and English! This is truly a significant plus. The couple is very welcoming, and the place is truly, truly splendid! You can buy fantastic honeys at a very affordable price (around €11 per jar): cocoa honey, licorice honey, mint honey, dried fruit honey, etc. Don't miss this place if you're passing through the area. Rooms are also available (Bed and Breakfast).

A place I discovered by chance with two very nice people 😊 You'll receive a very warm welcome at Café Gammelby. The hostess speaks Danish, German, English, and French. You can stay overnight there with a camper, caravan, or tent, or stay in a bed and breakfast. Be sure to try the delicious dinner and apple crumble, as well as the organic breakfast with lots of great regional items (pre-registration required for planning purposes). The showers and restrooms are very clean. There is electricity and water for campers. Dogs are welcome. In autumn and winter, the fireplace is lit for cozy hours. A place you absolutely have to find 👍

At the end of our Scandinavian trip, we had a very special experience: We received a spontaneous and very friendly welcome at Café Gammelby and were allowed to spend a night there in our motorhome without any further ado. The highlight was breakfast with our hosts in the very cozy dining room. We enjoyed the hearty breakfast and lively conversation. A must for all travelers visiting this area.

We had afternoon coffee when we arrived, dinner, with dessert for the evening, breakfast the next day, all with homemade tasty details, all in all an incredibly good experience.

A very pleasant place, perfect for an overnight stay. The owner is very friendly; we were able to pitch our 4x4 with our rooftop tent on the grass, in the orchard, at the back of the grounds. This very kind woman speaks several languages ​​fluently and gives you a very warm welcome. We recommend having breakfast with your overnight stay or having dinner.

Really warm welcome, very good local cuisine. We felt like family, it was so friendly. We were the only French people there, the owner speaks French very well, which helps. I highly recommend this place and when I'm back in the area I'll come back.
