☀️ A wonderful summer lunch at Café Kirkeladen in Mesinge. There is something very special about sitting in the garden between the old thatched half-timbered houses. You almost get the feeling of having stepped straight into a Morten Korch film – peace, coziness and a true Danish summer idyll. The service was fantastic. Fast, smiling and attentive, and the food was served efficiently without you feeling rushed. The fish soup was delicious and creamy, the shooting star beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients, and it all tasted really good. The only small detail that let it down a bit was the desserts. They tasted good, but when the rest of the experience is at such a high level, freshly whipped whipped cream would have been the icing on the cake instead of whipped cream from a can. All in all, a really cozy experience with lots of charm, good food and an atmosphere that exudes Danish summer. ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ 4.5 out of 5 stars.
