We're back at Café Kysten again this year. As always, the food is excellent and the portions are huge. I've enjoyed a variety of dishes over the past few weeks, and they've all met my expectations. A new addition is the salad bar, which you can help yourself to before your meal at no extra charge. The fresh salad before the main course is just what you need and really whets your appetite. As always, we received a friendly welcome and excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious food and something for everyone. I recommend choosing a dish from the Vietnamese menu! Service was always with a genuine smile. Prices are reasonable, but you get more than average. The free salad buffet is a nice surprise.

Super delicious and freshly prepared food. The most delicious homemade small spring rolls (6 pieces) for starters and then roast duck with crispy and delicious vegetables and rice. Extremely friendly service. We will definitely come again

07/09/2026: You can eat well there. Various dishes, e.g., salads, gyros with fries, Vietnamese food, hamburgers, etc. The food is plentiful and reasonably priced. We'll be eating there until our ferry departs for Norway again after our trip to Flensburg. (As of August 2026)
07/09/2026: I used to come here with my parents 40 years ago when I was a child. It's a good, solid snack bar with very friendly staff. You can buy freshly caught fish right next door. If you're lucky, the large Color Line ferries dock right next to the snack bar at the landing stage. As a child, that always fascinated me!

Javads Sandwich

14/08/2026: Javad Sandwich in Hjørring has a really large selection. Here you can get sandwiches with many different types of fillings, durum, pita kebab, burgers, kebab, chicken, falafel, fish & chips, french fries, grilled dishes, salads and various snack menus. There are also children's menus and a large selection of cold drinks. I have been here several times and think you get good food and good portions at reasonable prices. There are many choices, so there is something for most people. I know the owner personally, and he is a really nice, hardworking and diligent man who spends a lot of time and energy on his business. He takes his job seriously and does a lot for his customers.
25/06/2026: I've tried the entire city's selection of kebab mixes, and Javad's Sandwich is without a doubt the best.
