Cozy cafe, good lunch service. The service is top notch, good humor

I had a really good experience for an Easter lunch. We sat outside in the good weather and ate a delicious Parisian steak. The owner, Joachim, came by and talked to us, and you could clearly tell that people in the area love Café Søster. It's a great place, whether you're just hungry or fancy a beer after work. I can definitely recommend it and will definitely come again.

We order sandwiches and drinks. Until then, so good. BUT when the cutlery and plates arrive, the cutlery is "served" in a basket, but 1 place setting was missing. We then get the plates and again a plate was missing. We then got cutlery and an extra plate, as we had just had to change one of the previous plates, which was dirty. The staff had seen it themselves, if you didn't just throw a stack of plates. Delicious smørrebrød, but there were a few errors and omissions. Smørrebrød should have more than just a little scraped butter, you have to have the spread for the spread, but without it becoming tooth butter. Also, we didn't get what we ordered, but it tasted good. A good hearty lunch but the service left a lot to be desired. Last little burp, DKK 85. for a golden schnapps, one of which was served in a dirty glass, is not right!

Good place for a good general brunch...with everything. Both cold and warm

A slightly hectic start to the brunch, as the waiter who welcomed us was also very stressed and tended to shout when he showed us to our table. There are a lot of tables in a small space and the acoustics are not the best. So the noise level becomes reasonably high. The food is nice, but nothing special. Only one cheese to choose from and one of medium quality. The rolls were extremely boring and worse than the freezer rolls I heat myself from Rema. We had booked a table from 10:00 - 11:30 and at At 11:25 the waiter came shouting and expressed that we had exceeded the time. Which was unnecessary, as we were slowly packing up and otherwise could have been done much more gallantly. We had bought sweetdeals and therefore got brunch incl. free drinks for NOK 99. Which is a reasonable price, but for general. price I would not visit the place again.

Brunch buffet as a deal. For the price, of course, top notch, but in no way worth the normal price. The food overall fine, but a little late with refills. Pastry was lowest quality bake off. Greasy and boring. Good scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. Really good classic chicken salad. Delicious rye bread. But the worst was chaos when you drive with 2 seats and start over every time. Yes, you get a freshly filled buffet once they get it all in. But wanting to put everyone at the table at once and so many people in a small room. It was close to chaotic. But overall a good experience and secure 4 stars. The positives were the price and several good products.
