Really lovely lunch with small servings of extremely delicate homemade herring and exciting dishes and a dream of a dessert. Really good service with a nice and precise (not too long) presentation of the dishes and a wonderful atmosphere in the nice premises. Highly recommended.

In the middle of Almindingen lies this exquisite gem hidden between the trees and with a simple sign at Almindingevej. The inn bears witness to many years of activity and a very special calmness reigns over the place. When you enter the inn, you are greeted by fragrant notes of food and a nice visual environment, where your senses are both sharpened and pleasantly subdued. Guests talk softly to each other and the atmosphere testifies that here they are picky about both the food and the guests. This time we had the "forest lunch" and it is, like all other food at the inn, highly recommended. The "forest lunch" is not a quick meal, but a journey through taste, consistency and new thinking of classic small dishes. So take your time to enjoy the food. If we could, we would give more stars than the 5 you can give, because Christanshøjkroen completely breaks the framework for quality and functionality of the food. And we would say that the inn's interpretations and innovative thinking of the food are completely in line with various gourmet restaurants in Copenhagen and the surrounding area (none mentioned, none forgotten😉). Cozy place in the forest in the middle of Bornholm with the sweetest host couple and delicious food

It's rare that we get such a well-rounded experience like this without it also being very, very tight and designed for just that. But at Christianshøjkroen they apparently make really good and delicious food every day, and they serve it in a calm atmosphere, which today was framed by a violent change in the weather so that Almindingen was dissolved in fog and the sound of thawing. It's a really good restaurant that delivers at a level they should boast about. However, they don't. Thank you.
