Ekkodalshuset Bornholm

With a mini-holiday on Bornholm, we of course had to stop by Ekkodalshuset and have the island's largest tartelette. It tasted absolutely fantastic - however, you should be aware that there may be chicken bones in the tartelette filling - you are not made aware of this when ordering tartelettes. When we pointed this out to the waiter - she simply said it was part of the charm - and that is certainly debatable. But overall, a really good experience with friendly staff, a nice restaurant and delicious food except for the chicken bones.

There shouldn't be dogs in restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic without being too “flashy”! :-) We came because we needed a slightly healthier alternative and had a Caesar salad, hot smoked salmon and the children's plate. The food was so delicious, the staff so lovely and the atmosphere so good that we will choose to come back again (despite the fact that we are only here for a week)! Nice outdoor ambiance. Good food.

Friendly and fast service. I grabbed the large tartlet, it tasted really good and it certainly left you full. Definitely recommended after a walk by the echo valley.

A completely unique place. The atmosphere and the food are in a class of their own. We always come there regularly with the whole family and dog. If you are on the sunny island this is a place to visit.

Very good tartelets. All 3 of us had a tartelet and we were all very happy with the choice. First time I was full after just one tartelet. Tasted homemade and feels homemade from good ingredients just as the menu promised. We had the citrus lemonade also which is very very tasty as well. If you visit Ekkodalen plan your lunch here also. You will not regret. From what I heard all their food is very tasty. Service is greatly performed by happy and smiling staff. Surroundings are fantastic and on a sunny day everything is just great there.
