Simply delightful lunch and dinner experiences there. The head chef was extremely well versed in various condiment preparations, his preservation techniques were especially notable; complex preserved cod, aged tofu, fermented sesame are but a few to name. Each course was very imaginative Japanese fusion cuisine and explosive in flavour; it also expresses how much they really care about the ingredients and components in all their creations. I was pleasantly surprises by their new interpretations of traditional Japanese dishes.
In addition to that, the head chef is extremely kind and thoughtful. After returning there the second time for lunch, I mentioned that my partner just recovered from sickness, and he tailored the course meal for him who had not been eating well for two days. He was very impressed, touched, and most of all, 'fulfilled'—since he could not stomach to eat anything at all before that.
I think instead of a long description of every single course, I suggest you give the amazing and creative meals there a try.

The experience in Damindra is amazing. They pay attention to every single detail, from finding a place to your jacket if it is too long to hang from the chair to provide with warm perfumed wet towels to clean your hands while eating.
The menu changes all the time and it is always surprising, every dish is better than the one before. I highly recommend you to leave yourself in the chef’s hands and just enjoy the magic they do in the kitchen (both with food and cocktails that match perfectly with the food and enhance their flavors).
I truly believe this place should have more recognition since it is one of the best places where I have ever been.

This is one of the best places we have been to in Copenhagen. The food is amazing, the service and attention are really good and I am sure the new location will give this cozy place the necessary space to become even more recognized. We were there a year ago and we really enjoyed the food. This second time we were trying to bring lower expectations (we thought it was difficult to beat the first experience), however, every dish was better than the previous one! To sum up: AMAZING PLACE where to experience a combination of Japanese and Sri Lanka kitchens!

We were lucky to secure a table due to someone coincidentally canceled their reservation.
Even in a small spot, the cozy ambiance creates a wonderfully relaxed vibe.
I really have to say theirs omakase is a total game changer! The chef is professional and welcoming, taking the time to explain each dish and share the best way to savor them.
Each dish was a flavor explosion and a presentation. If you're a sushi lover, you shouldn’t miss it out in Copenhagen.
