Good food, good portions, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices

Very good traditional restaurant. I recommend the "shooting star" dish: a piece of bread topped with various fish, sauces, egg, and vegetables. It's incredibly tasty and unique; I'd return for that alone. The desserts were also very good. The service was a little slow, but the staff was friendly and the atmosphere very welcoming. Highly recommended!

The smoked salmon dish was exceptional, the Danish beef was good (it's still a burger). Friendly service.

Lovely food in cozy premises with red checkered tablecloths on the stall, pleasant and efficient service. We ate open sandwiches with herring and the herring plate. Sat in the sun in the cozy back garden. Good drinks. Highly recommended if you are looking for good Danish cuisine :-)

Well, that's it... You can actually have a look at it with negative comments, and all the things... If you're a man who likes to see Bette Kro in Aalborg, you can still get it. I find a charming Croatian atmosphere, the Bavarian atmosphere inspires me with a long-lasting view, men and women are hyggelig. I find it personal, men I bliver IKKE mæt, hvis I for example bestiller "Frokostplatte" for 179 kr (!). Because the "platter" is very tall, and it only ends up being frugal. Et lille eksempel: The tilhørende pynt bestod af en kvart (!) tynd skive citron, en kvart tynd skive appelsin og en halv, ja, en halv(!) cherrytomat. Dette fortabte sig mellem en mini-frikadelle, en lille skefuld kyllinge salad, en lille skive af roast beef and kogt skinke, and kvart kogt æg med en lille skefuld crab salad. Det var det. Guest number To styled tartar. Blandet til? Selvfølgelig ikke! Serveret blot på et stykke rugbrød, omgivet af pynt: log, peberrod, kapers, en rå æggeblomme og en bunke af de frygtelige ærteblade ovenpå. Så bland the dog itself… Nå, 139 kr. It's easy to get to the tourist and tourist friendly. We ate a hotdog bagefter in the city… so we were left feeling quite alone. German: What now… I don't like to make negative comments. And yet. Dear people who want to visit the Bette Kro in Aalborg, let me tell you. You will find an atmospheric kro ambiance, somewhat Bavarian-inspired with red and white checkered tablecloths, but otherwise quite cozy. You will find friendly staff, but you will NOT get full if you order, for example, the Frokostteller for 179 kr (!). This "platter" is a plate, and it is more than sparsely filled. A small example: The accompanying decoration consisted of a quarter of a thin slice of lemon, a quarter of a thin slice of orange, and half, yes, half(!) a mini tomato. This was lost among a mini meatball, a spoonful of chicken salad, a small slice each of roast beef and cooked ham, a quarter of a boiled egg with a spoonful of crab salad. That was it. Guest number two had ordered steak tartare. Dressed? Not at all! Simply on a piece of rye bread, surrounded by garnishes: onions, horseradish, capers, a raw egg yolk, and a sprig of that dreadful pea shoot on top. Mix it yourself… Well, 139 kr. Guest two wasn't full either. He also ordered tap water and a small beer. The bill came to 400 kr. Any proper Danish inn would be utterly ashamed of this offering. This is surely only possible thanks to plenty of tourists and a tourist-friendly location in the city. We bought a hot dog in town afterward. That finally filled us up.
