Excellent food and truly fantastic service. The waiters and waitresses, as well as the owner, took all our requests and concerns regarding gluten intolerance very seriously. We felt well-advised and secure. A great place and overall a very pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

The food was super tasty and high quality! We came here hungry and tired and were a bit too early. The kitchen was so quick with our food and it was sooo good! My gosh. The service was also super nice. Even served us an „Alster“ (Germans know), though it was not in the menu… And for such a good price! This was a very satisfying experience. We will definitely come back when we’re near. Greetings! Update: We came back after 9 months. Service and food was as good as before, and the Alster seems to be well-known now. :) I can definitely recommend a visit.

I've heard of the happy penguin since I was young 40 years ago and imagined something very worn out, but I was pleasantly surprised by the place, everything spotlessly clean, cozy and super friendly service. We got a wiener schnitzel which in my opinion was a little dry at the edges, I love them juicy in the meat, side dishes were okay, but not many potatoes. But it was super cozy.

Cozy place. Possibility of lighter café food. Large selection of beers. Pub quiz has unfortunately been taken off the poster. Ate steak sticks. Pretty boring meat. Nice salad and fries. Perfect service from the young girls.

Now, over time, here with the new owners, I have ordered food (Take Away - Pindebøf) on 3 different occasions.. Each time I have been given a time when the food can be picked up.. - and each time the food has not yet started when I show up at the agreed time 😡 There IS. like a reason why you call and order food at a specific agreed time!? Each time you are told that the food is unfortunately not ready yet, and that it will take 20-25 minutes in each case. (Which then becomes 35 minutes. 😡 ) Before the food can be delivered. The 3rd time I chose to cancel my order, and found another solution (Holstebro) They simply do not have this under control with food orders - which means that in the future we will no longer choose them as a take away option. Too bad, because otherwise the food they make is excellent..🤔

Delicious food, atmosphere and service... The steak is fantastic...
