We were up visiting friends who had a room there, so we just ate there. It was some delicious food we got 😋

Nice food, but don't expect it to be like michelin restaurant. The cost match the quality. The food match the price very good, so I'm very satisfied.

It's probably cheap! (Perhaps even a little too cheap...) First for fried pork : The potatoes tasted like new (December), the sauce is definitely not a sauce, but thick and plentiful! The meat, on the other hand, was very salty, and the dry-fried pork took a bite, while the breaded seemed cooked and rolled in oiled breadcrumbs....🤔. All-in-all, however, edible, and again.... DKK 79..... Ate the whole roasted suckling pig in the restaurant the other night (DKK 99), and the spiced potatoes and the brown red wine/pepper(?) sauce were excellent! The pork tasted heated! The cream potatoes were just sitting in the cupboard.😀 I will definitely come again, but just a little more attention to detail would give 1 or 2 more stars!

Was here for the third time on a Thursday and ate roast pork. This time there was a bit of a downturn. Seemed like the food had been sitting for a while.

Rigtig god julefrokost til 100 personer - rigelig mad med kolde og lune nordjyske retter. Hyggelig stemning og god betjening.

It's cozy out in the forest, where Fårup Skovhus is located. The food is good and you get something for the money. It is definitely worth a visit. In addition to piglet, this time there were also various fish and tapas for starters. There were several kinds of meat. It was more of a big buffet. Their lamb was amazing in taste and tenderness.

14/09/2024: Kokkedal Castle is an impressive destination that combines historical charm with modern luxury. The castle is beautifully surrounded by nature, and the picturesque view of the landscape creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The elegant rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, giving a feeling of exclusivity. The on-site restaurant offers delicious food with a focus on seasonal produce, and the flavors are of high quality. The service is generally friendly and professional, although there can sometimes be a wait in the restaurant. Facilities such as spa and pool are a big plus and contribute to a relaxing experience, perfect for a weekend getaway. The only slight drawback is that parts of the castle are showing signs of age and could use an update. All in all, Kokkedal Castle is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for a luxurious experience in historical surroundings.

11/01/2025: Was for a Friday and Saturday stay, arriving a little late on Friday night. No people at the reception, but the key is ready on the counter with an envelope with a name on it, so it works fine, had reserved a table for dinner earlier in the day, everything was ready. Fresh young waiter to provide food and drinks, a little talk about wine, got a little taster to see if it was the right choice, both white and red wine suited the occasion perfectly, beef fillet with pepper sauce and beef fillet with béarnaise, a Wienerschnitzel on veal inner thigh, as it should be made, a salmon stuffed red sole, all the dishes were perfect, it was a thoroughly good food experience. To finish, an Irish Coffee, it was also good, it can't be better, The next morning, lovely morning complete, eggs, rolls and cheese as well as cold cuts, fresh fruit and yoghurt, real juice and a pot of coffee, a really good start to the day. We will definitely come again.
