Thank you for an amazing dinner. We walked by and saw the bit hidden restaurant by coincidence and decided to try it. The food was delicious and the waiter kind and helpful. He took my allergies into account and was even ready to make adaptions. The dishes were very flavourable and well balanced and tasted home made. Since it's a contemporary interpretation of asian fusion, we sometimes got pleasantly surprised by the dishes we got but have to say that the interpretations were very nice. The sake was exactly what I asked for when I asked for a recommendation. We highly recommend dining here, but don't expect the tipical weasternized asian dishes.

I have received a response from the owner, who apologizes for our experience. Respect for your response. We say yes to another round I have changed the rating to 3 stars. We booked a table for 7 pm. I am nine minutes late. My eldest daughter arrives first. The rest of us arrive a few minutes later to a restaurant that is empty of people. I try to greet the host, he does not greet me back. I feel very unwelcome, and I cannot understand why the host does not seem to really bother us. I ask around about the restaurant, whether it is his own and how long it has been here at this address. I have never been here before. Even my sincere interest does not seem to thaw him out, and I get a brief answer that the restaurant has been around for many years - I think he said 21 years. He spills water on our table several times, and does not make a very thorough effort to dry it. The table is wet afterwards. When my eldest daughter asks him what he can recommend, he replies: "I don't know you". The main courses are generally okay, but don't taste like much. The small appetizers are delicious, though. At one point, the host takes an interest in a Finnish couple sitting diagonally to our left, and he spends about 15 minutes talking so loudly with the Finnish couple that we actually give up on being able to hold conversations with each other. It was my son's birthday, and he had chosen the restaurant. If it hadn't been his birthday, I would have left the restaurant immediately. Incidentally, the host neither said goodbye nor thanked me for tonight, when we had paid. Whether he was having a bad day, I can't say. But in that case, I think he should respond to this review and give me an explanation, so that I can possibly reassess my review on that basis. Regards Anders Berner

When you walk in the door, you think "just another restaurant". But when you listen to the chef and what he presents, the experience becomes so good in an undermined way. He (the chef) does a deep dive into what he does, and you can feel and taste it in the food. We took the tasting menu with sake+wine pairing. I have never tried anything better! - I shit you not. The man is a sauvant chef. The dish with kingfish, browned butter and soy sauce was sublime, and I would only recommend trying the other dishes that are presented during this unassuming menu tasting. The sake you are introduced to is a completely different world than you are used to, in that completely mind-blowing way. Hot Japanese dream come true 🫠 Bon appetit... ✨

I have lived in Studiestræde for a long time, talked to the owner a lot, but never got time to visit.. Now that i did, i regret All the meals i have missed.. Its really tasty.. And im a chef.. I had an amazing experience with Sake and.. And the King fish.. The salmon.. The Tuna.. The ramen.. I left so happy.. Thinking of just one Thing. When Will i be able to Come back..

Another amazing dining experience

Central location down below street level is this wonderful restaurant where the chef obviously cares about fermentation and flavour. The seasonal tasting menu was varied and well balanced but full of flavour. Extensive sake selection, warm interior and friendly service means I’ll definitely be back and recommend to others.
