Gastroteket Odense

I had a Croque Madame with some escargot to start. The food was wonderful. The service was also excellent -- attentative without being intrusive. Very nice atmosphere. Even love the music (I heard a French language version of one of my favorite songs, the Waters of March). I hope to return to Odense again just to eat here :) ----- 2026 2 years later. I did make it back, this time for dinner. Still amazing. Escargot even better than I remember. Perfect meal.

Brasserie Bordeaux manages to combine the classic French brasserie atmosphere with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in the middle of Odense in a distinguished way. The restaurant exudes an elegance that other restaurants do not show. Already upon arrival, you can sense the ambition to deliver a complete, fantastic and tasty experience. When my girlfriend and I entered the restaurant, our eyes were given strange colors to rest on. We ordered a three-course menu, namely their "Menú Classique". The meal was well composed. The ingredients appeared fresh, the preparation was safe, and the flavors were balanced with a respect for French cuisine. First we had a Soupe à l’oignon with bread and thyme, which tasted fantastic! After that, Coq au vin blanc was served, with various vegetables and bacon and spicy potatoes. The dishes came at a really nice pace. The dessert was also tasty, but it was now missing a bit of edge. The lemon tart tasted really good, although a little hard on the edges. But that doesn't mean I think the lemon tart was perfect. The lemon tart was served with a vanilla quenelle on top of a nut croquette. The vanilla ice cream tasted fine, but it was as if it were only artificial vanilla aromas, and not the real ingredients. The vanilla ice cream was unfortunately also chalky white, and should instead have a natural, light yellow cream color with clear, black vanilla beans and taste of a pure, creamy cream flavor with a deep and sweet note of real vanilla In addition, the nut croquette was a little too heavily caramelized, which gave a slightly burnt bitterness, which stole a bit of the otherwise fine balance. However, that does not change the overall impression. Brasserie Bordeaux delivers an experience where the quality of the food was high, the service was accommodating and the atmosphere was inviting. Brasserie Bordeaux is therefore a place I would like to return to. With just a few adjustments, the experience could have moved all the way up among the very best. 4 out of 5 stars.

Got their cheese board they run on Tuesdays. There was a good selection of cheeses and sides. A great concept at a good price.

First, but not last visit. The service was attentive but not intrusive, the food was delicious (the proportions were a bit off), the wine menu was very well chosen, the atmosphere was cozy. We will be back ❤️
