Semi-brown tavern with friendly service and good food at reasonable prices.

The young waiter was incredibly busy. He was alone and the place quickly became very crowded. But nothing but smiles and really good service. The food was like grandma's food should be. Danish and delicious.

Traditional Danish food. Really good fried liver, which lived up to expectations and a really good fried pork and parsley sauce. The prices are also very reasonable. Sweet and welcoming service. We will be back.

For dinner, we headed to the Giraffen Restaurant at the Odense train station where we saw that they served the Danish Stegt Flæsk crispy pork belly slices with potatoes and parsley sauce (165kr – because Tom added 30kr for additional pork which Kate advised against) and 3 Creamy Chicken Tartlets (109kr) and Albani Classic Pilsner (67kr – draft). We actually didn’t really enjoy the crispy pork belly because it was dry and salty but the tartlets was not bad with its puffy and crisp layer. Portions were big though.. Good service and okay food, but a slightly unpleasant smell of smoke and pub.

Lovely restaurants, good Danish food, at reasonable prices...

The food was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant had such a calm and welcoming vibe. The only downside was that there wasn’t a changing table available, so we had to change our toddler in the car. Other than that, everything else was truly lovely!
