We'd never tried the omnivorous version of flødeboller, but we were thoroughly satisfied with this one. Congratulations on spreading the word about traditional pastry making with a plant-based twist!

These vegan sweet treats are a must try when you are in Copenhagen. They are heavenly. Fully vegan sweet spot in the city centre. They have several flavours and if you do a mix of four you get a good deal. They also have vegan ice cream, which is amazing too. Staff is really patient and helpful in explaining all the different flavours. I had raspberry, caramel and vanilla flavours. Everything is delicious here.

Okay, let me take you on a journey. I was peacefully walking around Torvehallerne, you know, sniffing some spices, nodding appreciatively at a cheese, wondering if I was old enough to buy truffle salt… and then I see it: a small, neat stall with cream buns and tree trunks, standing and winking at me like little sugar gods. Of course I go straight there – because I am a human being with weaknesses and a heart of marzipan. But then it happens. The person behind the counter smiles kindly and says: “It’s all vegan.” And I… freeze. Like when someone says “you can’t take your phone to the toilet”. So… cream buns? Vegan? How? With what? Air and hope? I’m close to backing away slowly like a man who has just discovered he’s entered the ladies’ locker room. But something inside me says: “Be brave.” And thank the gods for that. Because what I tasted was nothing short of magic. The cream puff had the perfect balance – crunchy chocolate, fluffy foam, and a base that could make even a grandmother cry. And the tree trunk? I can still hear little angels singing when I think about it. It tastes so sinful that I felt like I should go to confession afterwards – until I remembered that it was VEGAN and therefore technically healthy. (Right?) So yes – I came in skeptical, I tasted… and I was converted. Glean doesn’t just make vegan confections. They make confections that will make you question everything you thought you knew about cream, butter, and the meaning of life.

One of the best ice creams I have had, especially the one with raspberry and mint!! Super nice!!!
