Very nice hotel and delicious spa

Really nice hotel in the middle of Rønne… located at the coast with a view over the sea… While the rooms are nice and the complentary breakfast is very nice, then the SPA area together with the nice staff is what really makes the place stand out….

The hotel is beautifully located right on the water, and even from your bed you have a wonderful view. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the large spa area: numerous saunas, various pools, a large swimming pool, several smaller pools, and foot baths. The whirlpool directly behind the large glass panel is also a real highlight. The only criticism: The spa area is also accessible to external guests. This meant that it was sometimes very crowded, so it was almost impossible to find a seat or a chair. We think it would be perfectly adequate if the spa area were reserved exclusively for hotel guests. Apart from that, we were very satisfied and would come back anytime. We highly recommend it!

They were very nice days, the location right by the sea and the town nearby were simply perfect.

Service with a smile! I highly recommend this hotel. The woman at the front desk in the evenings always looked happy to see us and was very kind to answer any questions we asked during our stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They are more spacious than other hotels we stayed in around Denmark. Breakfast had a nice variety of vegetables, pastries, pancakes, protein, etc. The meat and eggs appeared to be on a separate table from the dairy (kosher conscious). Free bikes on a first come, first serve basis. My travel companion isn't in good physical shape and was a little hesitant at first because the bikes are not electric and do not have pedal assist. But we used them one evening for about 90 minutes and had a lovely ride along the path directly in front of the hotel and beyond. We did not use the spa services nor did we eat dinner at the restaurant during our stay. (Note, to eat at the restaurant you must reserve a table.) No air conditioning, which is typical for this part of the world. Like most quality places they provided a fan which worked well to cool things off in the evening.

To Hotel Griffen and Receptionist Pia Dear Pia and the entire team at Hotel Griffen, I would like to express my gratitude for the exceptional help and care you showed us during our stay – especially on the second-last day of our holiday, when my wife unfortunately broke her ankle and had to undergo surgery in Rønne. In the midst of an unexpected and difficult situation, you, Pia, stepped in with warmth and professionalism that made all the difference. Your swift assistance in finding a wheelchair and your generous upgrade to a suite provided not only comfort, but also peace of mind at a time when we needed it most. It is rare to encounter such genuine compassion and service, and it left a lasting impression on both of us. Since then, I’ve praised Hotel Griffen in glowing terms wherever I go – and I do so gladly, because you truly deserve all the recognition you can get. Thank you for making a hard day easier. Beautiful hotel, centrally located and with a spa area.

Beautiful view of the sea, noise from the coastal road is a bit of a drag (autumn season).

Nice room with a comfortable bed, delicious breakfast buffet and so nice with a spa. Our window was by the parking lot and we could hear all the cars driving in and out in the morning and evening because of the curbs - but otherwise ok.
