The hotel is so beautiful!! The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was really good. And the location is wonderful - really close to the train station and in a good nice neighborhood.

The hotel is, by far, my favorite in Copenhagen. The rooms, location, style and staff are simply great. I would wish for smart-tv's in the rooms but that's in no way informing my choice. Looking forward to the next visit Frank

Axel Guldsmeden Hotel has a retro vibe to itself which makes you feel cozy in the city where wind keeps blowing. I had a chance to be with them for a 3 days Business Trip. The lunch was simply amazing. Lighting could improve in the gallery. You shouldn't book a small room as the room sizes are little smaller comparatively. And the best part is "Ecologically Green", whole hotel operates on green energy and products.

The location is excellent; you can reach almost all tourist attractions on foot. The room included a toothbrush, soap, shampoo, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and kettle. We had no problems with cleanliness. Even the 12-square-meter room was sufficient for two people; it was conveniently designed, and we could easily open two carry-on suitcases. The shower area is small. I don't know what the breakfast included as I didn't purchase it, but the breakfast room looked pleasant. I would recommend it to those planning a short tourist trip.

A wonderful hotel: - Great and friendly service - Beautiful rooms with a very comfortable and high-quality mattress - Very quiet at night, despite the fantastic location near the main train station (2-minute walk)

Nice place to visit Copenhaguen. Just some adjustments to do : curtains in the bedroom and real choice for dinner in the full experience package

It was nice, but I really couldn't find anything to eat for breakfast. Furthermore, I have one more thing to improve: the bunk beds are much too high. But the spa was really good.

I've stayed at this hotel twice this year. It's in a fantastic location right next to the main train station, maybe a 5-minute walk to the trains and metro. This makes getting around Copenhagen and to the airport very quick and easy. The rooms are very clean and furnished to a high standard. The bed is very comfortable, and both nights were pleasantly quiet. Breakfast is excellent, and the bar is nice too. I will definitely stay here again when I'm back in Copenhagen.

15/06/2026: Ordered a 3-course menu consisting of Carpaccio, pasta linguini with shrimp and tiramisu (see pictures). In addition, sparkling water ad libitum and we got free bread. Total price was 305 kr. Taste and quantity: Carpaccio - very standard and tasty. I would have either salted the meat a little more or put more of the salted cheese on it, and then I would have turned down the arugula a little. The dish lacks the wow factor to get a higher rating. I give it 8/10. Pasta dish with shrimp - I like that the dominant flavor was shrimp, and that there was a little chili that gave strength, and that the quantity was appropriate, but the sauce was a little too bouillon-like for me. I also didn't like that there was tomato skin in the dish. Replace the bouillon sauce with some wine and cream, and it would be lifted significantly. I give it 6.5/10. Tiramisu - good consistency and quantity, but I think it was a bit too tasteless. The taste of sweetness and coffee should be more intense, I think. The bread - there were two kinds; a wholemeal baguette of some kind and some focaccia. The baguette was nice, but the focaccia bread was as dry as a sponge cake. Because it is free, this does not detract from the rating. Satiety: I was quite full from the three dishes. The price: Is too high compared to the quality you get, especially the pasta dish. Atmosphere: Excellent. Service: Was a bit too slow. We were first asked what we wanted after 20-25 minutes. And then there was a bit too long a wait between the main course and dessert. That said, it seemed that they were fairly “understaffed”. There were two waiters to take orders, serve, make drinks and give the bill to about 10 tables. The overall experience is 4/5 stars.
03/06/2026: Absolutely delicious food. Small menu but really tasty and well made. We had the ravioli with vodka sauce and a margherita pizza. Lovely chewy crust and portions just right. Nice social atmosphere, got busy around 7pm so head here early or reserve, even on weeknights

16/05/2026: Lovely atmosphere, felt very comfortable and cosy.
14/05/2026: Perhaps one of the coziest Ricco's in town. It definitely feels unique and charming with all the books and the canal view. Decent selection of pastries and coffee. They also just started offering Moritz beer too.
